I enjoyed the dinner here with family.
We appreciate the service here . Thank you.
We had a great lunch. As always, the food was fantastic. They were out of cucumbers today, so we ordered the spicy cabbage instead. This was a great alternative, and we will definitely be adding it to our rotation. I particularly enjoyed the bacon chips, the beef sukiyaki bibimbap, the Umakara ribeye, the Harami skirt steak, the pork belly, and the Bistro hanger steak.
Our server, Alex, was excellent. She started off by letting us know what was not available and took our drink orders. Service was a little slow because they were missing some servers, but Alex was doing a great job of getting everyone their food. She kept apologizing, but we felt it was unnecessary because she was doing the best she could and we did not mind waiting a little.
This location gets very busy during peak dining hours. Reservations are recommened. The parking lot gets very crowded, but they do offer valet parking.
Service was fantastic, wait staff was super kind and friendly and attentive for our group even when we were the last table to leave.
Most of the side dishes are kinda pointless and some weird. Hard boiled eggs in the salad? You don’t even see that in Japan. The “cheese corn butter” hardly had any cheese and was a watery mess. Dumplings as basic as they could be,
Edamame was decent and the beef sushi was great. Bibimbap was actually pretty good with the crispy rice bottom from the bowl.
As for the meats, they were all pretty bland and just molded together. Unlike KBBQ where I feel like you get more prominent flavor profiles, here, all the meats just seemed bland, boring, and very very similar to one another, nothing really stood out from the other.
And smore’s for dessert? Really? How Americanized can this place be?
The good- Their happy hour is everyday during weekdays I believe until evening and later in the evenings on weekends. Happy hour everything is a bit less expensive, 1-8$ less depending on the overall price per item. The quality of the food here is a step up from most places and several steps up from all you can eat places of the same environment. Service has always been attentive and friendly, although not completely perfect. Over all fun and perfect for couples or large family parties, kid friendly too of course.
The bad- at this particular location there is mandatory valet parking, 8$. They occasionally run out of items and will generally let you know but I have had the server bring me dishes with missing key ingredients because they ran out of something, but they failed to let me know before hand. I would like to mention however, they didn’t charge me for these items after mentioning it. I’ve come alone and felt rushed. I get it, the table could be used for more people spending more money but still, as a dude with a pretty big appetite, I eat almost as much as a party of 2.
The negative experiences were very few I want to say as I’ve been here probably close to 100 times and generally have fun and love the food. Definitely worth trying especially if you enjoy Korean BBQ style spots.
The food was FABULOUS (We chose the Samurai package), and there ends up being SO MUCH!!!!! We all loved that we got to cook at our table, and pick what we wanted a taste of.
We went on a Saturday, so it was busy, but didnt require a wait. It wasnt super crowded, but was nice and lively. The decor is nice, everything was clean and walkways were clear.
We all enjoyed our first visit very much and will all love to go back….
I hate how it’s always so packed and the service is super slow (lunch is better, waiting wise). But other than that, for the money the food is great! Great for a get together w friends and family.
