Honestly we were so
Pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it all was! Incredible auntie for a hostess and some of the best food we’ve had on the island! Their rum manhattan will change your life! So the rum tasting too, if only because it’s fun!

This restaurant is shockingly poorly managed, and it shows at every level.

We called ahead to ask if we could arrive early and sit at the bar for drinks while waiting for our table and were told yes, only to be told upon arrival that we were not allowed at the bar, despite multiple empty bar seats, because they were “saving them for reservations.”

The restaurant was nearly empty, yet service was nonexistent. The hostess, an older woman working the host stand, was rude and dismissive, repeatedly claiming they were “too busy” while surrounded by empty tables.

At 6:30 PM, we were told there was only one crab rangoon left because they were “so busy,” which was laughable given how empty the place was.

The wine was spoiled, so bad it burned going down, and when this was mentioned to the busser, the server returned and silently dropped off a replacement glass with no apology, no explanation, and no follow-up.

To be fair, some of the food was okay, but much of it was not, including burnt meatballs, the smallest pasta portion imaginable, and a “butterfish” dish that turned out to be a thick, cloudy ramen-style soup that bore no resemblance to its description.

Our group of 12 was squeezed into two small tables pushed together, and despite being told no additional tables could be added because they were “full,” every table next to us was empty, forcing one person to sit with their knees wedged between two poles.

The experience was so bad we left and went to the grocery store to buy dinner.

Photos are attached showing empty tables, the seating situation, burnt meatballs, and the pasta portion.

This wasn’t just an off night, it was poor leadership, poor training, and zero accountability. If management is reading this, serious changes are needed. Spend your money elsewhere.

We came twice in one day! Such a lovely locally owned restaurant! Our happy hour rum flight and margarita were delicious and unique. We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts and li hing fruit salad and left so happy that we decided to come back for dinner. Paula and the crew served us a fantastic dinner!! The ribs in my loco moco were perfectly tender and the egg was exactly right! And do NOT leave without a rum cake with ice cream!

Worth a visit if you are looking for yummy food and a more casual “chill” vibe with friendly and unassuming service. We tried their Mochiko Chicken (5/5), Poke Nachos (5/5), and the Grilled Hamachi Kama (4/5, seemed a bit dry). Portion sizes were good for sharing. Prices reasonable.

This was a terrible dining experience. It started with it taking 15 minutes after we got seated before someone came by to take our order. We ordered everything at once since we had time to look at the menu and it took over 30 minutes for our drinks to come out and over an hour for our food to come out. A big party sitting next to us, came in after us and got all of their food and drinks before we did. When our food came out, it was cold and did not taste good. My burger was cut into and smaller than the bun size that was provided. The only reason that this is getting two stars instead of one is because the waitress comped our meal for having a bad time and the drinks were really good.

Do yourself a favor and get the pork nachos. The drinks are fantastic. The vibe is good. We really enjoyed our dinner here! Recommend a reservation because it seemed busy.

This was the best meal we had on big island. Save the best for last they say. All we talked about during this meal was this meal. Let that sink in. No other conversations other than how fantastic this hamachi dish from the spot menu was came to mind. Whoever cooked this should be cooking at like some buzzed about New York restaurant. You better be compensated well, chef! And if not please use this review as evidence that you deserve a raise. Folks — Go here, and get the hamachi. This was a 10/10. We also tried the Agricola rum cocktail – seriously it was awesome. Don’t sleep on this please because it’s in a walking mall. Go to it and order the hamachi and have the butteriest melt in your mouth perfectly cooked fish of your life. Trust. This place should be on the water doing its thing. It’s better than everywhere else we ate all week. Don’t you dare sleep on it. Service was also great! Hi Bradley!

Had a great dinner and tried the rum flight along with a couple of cocktails. Paula was an amazing server and explained all the rum choices and cocktails. We had a seared Ahi tuna and Ono fish tacos. All was delicious. Lastly, we had to try the pumpkin spice rum cake. It did not disappoint. It’s a must try. Overall, a cute place with great food and service. My only suggestion is a bit cooler inside. After a day in the sun and heat, sweating at dinner isn’t what I had in mind, but the food, drink and service is what was most important to us. We will be back.
