I had the displeasure of waiting an hour to receive a very simple order. My ticket got misplaced so it went unfulfilled. Once they finally realized this, they had completely mistimed and mismanaged dropping the chicken needed for sandwiches. Once my order was finally completed there wasn’t a single apology for my hour long wait for an order consisting of 6 items.
The lack of apathy is disrespectful and disgusting. During my hour long wait I watched as leadership and employees meandered meaninglessly around the restaurant unphased by what was going on around them. There as a general sense that because they’re hourly they only cared to be there to perform the minimum requirement of serving food at some undetermined time to customers they rather not have. Surprisingly though the manager did have time to talk to a homeless man about fencing some shampoo/conditioner. Classy.
Do yourself a favor, save your time, and go somewhere, anywhere, else.
We were told the chicken would take 12 minutes, so we have been waiting patiently.
After a half hour of waiting I went inside to ask the lady at the register what’s going on.
She was standing there with her red bull drinking it behind the counter by all the food(which in not food safety procedures in fast food restaurants) and didn’t notice me.
After getting her attention she said she forgot to have cook drop it but it’s cooking now and will be 6 more minutes.
The racks were covered with already cooked chicken, so I asked if we could grab those pieces of chicken instead of waiting longer and her response was if you want to pay more but I’m waiting for wings.
After the crappy service and the lack of caring for the customers we asked for a refund and was told they don’t offer refunds.
This was completely unacceptable customer service.
Management will be reached out to and hopefully they understand they need to hire better employees.
We will never return to this Popeyes
To make matters worse, the three women working the window were openly rude about the delay, showed zero professionalism, and never once offered an apology. Instead of addressing the problem, they stood around scrolling through their phones on social media, refusing to take accountability for the outrageous wait. When I asked what was going on, they brushed me off and tried to place the blame on the cook rather than taking any responsibility.
No explanation, no courtesy, no compensation—just bad attitudes layered on top of terrible service. If management allows employees to behave this way and considers a nearly hour-long drive-thru wait “normal,” then this location is beyond repair.
Popeyes corporate should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this establishment. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. This Popeyes has made it clear they don’t care about their customers.
