We chose a nice wine, I Googled it: Banfi Belnero is a premium Super Tuscan IGT wine from Castello Banfi in Montalcino, primarily crafted from Sangiovese blended with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. It features a deep ruby color with notes of black cherry, plum, spice, and vanilla, offering a full-bodied, structured palate with balanced tannins. Enjoyed 2 glasses of it ($32)!
We split the chocolate Pot de Creme ($10) for dessert, so good.
The restaurant was crowded, as we went a dinner time. Were lucky to get a table, in the bar area, near the window. Our server was running by and I didn’t mind at all calling out to him, as he didn’t check on us as much as the table to next to us, who were regulars.
Once they left, he honored us with his presence, actually lingered to explain the quality of the wine we chose.
I enjoyed this visit, although I am spoiled on getting much better service in Dallas, but every time I visit the islands, I try to remember to focus on the food, company and atmosphere.
Update – Went back tonight and had another delicious meal. Got pics this time
This time, we were just looking to snack, so we stuck with apps and small plates: the shrimp and calamari, lobster rolls, peach salad, and filet mignon sliders. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
Service was fast, accurate, and friendly—we were in and out in under an hour without ever feeling rushed. Always a solid experience!
