Friendly staff and clean! One basket grilled 4 piece and one basket fried 4 piece. Food tasted good. But for $9.99, it was like 1 tender was sliced thin and served as 4. Finally decided to try after moving here 3 years ago. Can’t say the taste was so good we need to go back. If portions were better we may but $30+ tax and tip wuth this amount of food is not ideal in today’s world…

Horrible experience! When I sat down at the table, it is dirty because I didn’t want to take up a larger clean table since I was eating alone. A server asked me what I wanted to drink and I ordered sweet tea. She walked away and I never saw her again.When finally another server (Paige W) showed up and asked me what I wanted to drink. I told her sweet tea and asked for a rag to wipe down the table. I ordered chicken tenders with tater tots. I am not kidding you when I say not even 20 seconds later, she was back at the table with burnt chicken tenders and burnt tater tots that were so old they were not even warm. After working as a server and a cook for many years, it only took me looking at it to realize I did not want it, but I didn’t have time to go somewhere else to eat on my lunch break. So, I figured something was better than nothing. I was wrong. Very wrong. I should’ve just told her I didn’t want it but I was hungry. I asked her for another honey mustard because the chicken tenders were so dry, I needed something to drown them in just to be able to swallow them. She then informed me that yes, their food is cheap , but it’s not very good and I should try the blue heron in beaufort. I was definitely surprised by what she said because that is terrible representation of where you work and very poor customer service. I then asked the name of her manager. She said they just got a new manager and I asked do you don’t know their name. She said she wasn’t sure , but she thinks it is Thomas. The service was horrible, and after I explained to her that it was clearly obvious the food had already been cooked before I got there because she brought it to me immediately after I ordered. She did not offer a discount or anything. She just looked at me like oh well. I would not return to this restaurant for anything.I don’t care if they offered me free food for a year! I would highly recommend everyone else stay away from here. My kids and I used to love HWY 55 but this was so bad I won’t go back.

Did a online order for a Philly cheesesteak. Had issues with app. Not the stores fault.. I didn’t take all the stuff off sandwich on app. BUT! What brung me here is the gravy fries. Ordered a LARGE gravy fry and got enough for a small child to eat… paid extra for large. Geesh… was literally 20 fries lol

What happened to the friendly staff? Picked up an online order through the drive-thru and was met with the rudest service I’ve ever experienced. I politely asked if all sauces were included (since they’re often missing), and the response was dismissive and rude. I was also missing drinks and sat at the window while staff ignored me and continued chatting. When I was finally acknowledged, the attitude was still unprofessional.
Nearly $60 spent and the experience completely ruined our appetite. Everyone has bad days, but there’s no excuse for treating customers this way. We will not be returning.

Tried their pork BBQ burnt ends naked which had good smoke flavor and good portions of meat with fatty pieces. Fried pickles were also a highlight. The pepper jack cheesesteak is always solid if you want spicy and pimento cheese burgers are good as well. Service was great. Down side on this visit was the fries tots and onion rings were served on the cold side.

Nice looking place and friendly staff. Food is hit or miss. One day it is pretty good and the next it is awful. Im not going back…not worth the risk. Latest visit…French fries tasted and looked like they were rewarded from hours or days earlier. I told waitress but she didn’t seem to care. I basically paid 11$ for a tea. Couldn’t eat the food

The restaurant and employees itself is great! I have a 3star rating as I had the cheese fries, which, was a wee bit salty. I ordered a small gravy fries to try, and it was waaaaay too salty. The other food items we ordered were good. We do like HWY 55. Suggestion: lower the salt. I say this with kindness

My wife and I arrived at about 8:20.
There were 2 other couples in the Restaurant
No one said a word or came to the table, we sat there for 19 minutes and were ignored.
We started to leave and the cook just laughed her head off.
Very sad, this was a great restaurant, but not has gone way down hill
