This is a very famous restaurant in Milan, but let me be clear: being famous and expensive does not necessarily mean good food—and this place is proof of that.

They claim to make their own spaghetti, but it is very obvious that this is not true. What you actually get is very regular pasta. The tomato sauce tastes like it comes straight from a can, which anyone can recognize without being a chef. Their so-called “rosso pesto” was also a disappointment—basically a little bit of pesto mixed with the same canned tomato sauce, which turned out to be a total disaster. The colors looked artificial, and the plates were not just poorly decorated but really messy.

The portion sizes were small, and the high prices seem designed more for people who want to show off rather than enjoy a good meal. There are many other restaurants in Milan where you can get far better quality for the same or even lower prices. I left very disappointed.

The service wasn’t great either. The waiters didn’t pay much attention to us, and while they weren’t rude, they weren’t particularly warm or welcoming either—just average. Their red wine was from 2022, and in my country such a young wine would not even be on a restaurant menu, let alone presented as something special.

The only redeeming quality of this place is the restaurant itself: very beautiful, stylish, and Instagrammable. That’s probably the main reason it attracts so many guests. But if you care about the food, the experience here is far from satisfying.

One more thing are wine glasses…….. please get proper glasses.

Disappointing Experience at La Briciola:
We recently had the misfortune of dining at La Briciola, and we must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever encountered in Milan.
We were looking forward to tasting their acclaimed raw dishes, especially the amberjack. Unfortunately, what we received was far from appetizing.
Upon being served the amberjack, we were immediately taken aback by a strong, unpleasant odor that filled the air around our table. It was not the fresh scent one would expect from quality raw fish; instead, it was distinctly off-putting, reminiscent of something that had been left out for far too long.
Concerned, we brought this to the attention of the chef, expecting a sincere acknowledgment of the issue.
To our disbelief, the chef not only dismissed our concerns but insisted that the fish was perfectly edible. This was shocking and baffling, to say the least.
We’ve dined at many restaurants, and we have never encountered a chef so unwilling to admit that there might be a problem with the food being served.
In the end, we left the restaurant without finishing our meal, feeling both hungry and disappointed.
The lack of professionalism and care for customer feedback was alarming. We can safely say that we will not be returning to La Briciola and would NOT recommend it to anyone who values fresh and safe dining experiences.
Save your time and money—there are plenty of other restaurants in Milan that prioritize quality and customer satisfaction.

We had a reservation at the restaurant across from Salferino Milano, but no hostess ever came us, we waited for 15 minutes and left.
But at La Briciola, without any reservation bingo! They welcomed us right away ! The food was great, the service was excellent, and even the owner came over to check on us. The atmosphere was amazing, with such interesting and stylish people around.

We absolutely love it! We’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone!
Thank you! ❤️

The restaurant enforces a policy requiring each guest to order both an antipasti and a main dish, which proved excessive and resulted in unfinished plates at our table. While the ambiance was notably pleasant, the food itself was mediocre and seemed overpriced compared to other dining options. I would recommend visiting primarily for the atmosphere, but set modest expectations for the culinary experience.

An old and charming Milanese haunt favoured by Italy’s A-list, including one Paolo Maldini. Started with the prawns and avocado followed by the steak tartare, with cured meat on the side. The waiter, a veteran of La Briciola, expertly paired the meal with a bottle of red. The setting is stunning, the service is sensational but the food — of the highest of quality — could do with a tinsy winsy dash of seasoning. Do book ahead, this place is popular — and not just with Instagramers.

One of the most lackluster experiences for the price we paid. I agree with the other reviews on it being a trap. To start, they did not even pour us water, yet charged us for a service and cover fee. We ordered the clam noodles and steak. The noodles was 30 euros per person, tiny portion, and was too salty. The steak was also incredibly salty as well and had no flavors. My biggest disappointment was just how much we paid. For 200 Euros, there are much much better restaurant experiences in Milano than this. Don’t waste your money.

The food was ok, service great, atmosphere definitely 5 star and then the bill came. They charged each person a cover fee-€5 a head plus a service fee and on top of that they expect you to leave a tip. A bit overboard thus making it not worth it

This is the most famous restaurant in Milan. For starters you’ll have to book a reservation weeks in advance as La Briciola is always packed. The owners Giani and Stefania are always present and they make sure that every detail is perfect.
The tartare and the conspicuous list of carpaccio stand out on the menu, which you can taste in dozens of variations: raw, parboiled, of meat and fish. For the more traditionalists, Florentine steak and the most classic of the evergreen: the Milanese cotoletta.
La Briciola knows how to sweeten the goodbye and give you the happy ending. Along with the dessert chosen, colorful jars filled with gummy candies, macaroons, chocolate meringues and licorice will be brought to your table.
