We held a funeral repast here, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. The space was beautifully decorated and was made available to us on very short notice—just one week prior. Gerline was an incredibly communicative and gracious host, and she was willing to work with our family’s budget during such a difficult and emotional time.
The three-course meal was excellent, and the pricing was very reasonable for a repast hosting over 200 people. Everything was handled with care and professionalism.
Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I will definitely be using Kasa Champet for future events.

My husband and I were in town visiting family and came across Kasa Champet Restaurant and Lounge, and let me tell you, we are so glad we did. We didn’t dine in; we went to their takeout section, and the service there was just as good as any sit-down experience. The staff was super friendly, patient, and welcoming every time we came in.

The food is what kept bringing me back. I went three times while I was in town! The poisson en sauce was amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I also really enjoyed their fritay platter with goat, which was well-seasoned and delicious, and the seafood légume was so good and comforting. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, like real Haitian home cooking.

I can’t forget to mention the passion fruit juice, which was the perfect touch. Refreshing, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had.

Kasa Champet has definitely become a go-to spot for us whenever we’re in town. Great food, great people, and consistent quality. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I have ordered from this place twice, and both experiences were terrible.

The first order was through Uber Eats on January 28th. It took well over an hour to receive our food. The driver was waiting at the restaurant the entire time and had no explanation for the delay, so we called the restaurant ourselves since the wait had already become unreasonable. When we called, they told us the driver was already there and that we “just needed to wait,” which was not helpful or honest. Uber Eats ultimately compensated us because they agreed the delay was unacceptable.

The second order was today, February 1st, and somehow it was even worse. About 30–40 minutes after placing the order, the restaurant called to say they didn’t have medium-sized fish and only had large or extra-large. My wife asked if we could simply pay the price difference. The woman on the phone said she didn’t know how much it would cost and flat out told us to cancel the order, offering no solution whatsoever.

When we contacted Uber Eats, they told us the restaurant had to cancel the order. We called the restaurant back and were then told we had to cancel it—even though doing so would have charged us the full price for food we were not going to receive. When we insisted that they cancel it on their end, we were told that the person who handles cancellations “wasn’t there today,” so they supposedly couldn’t cancel it at all.

At that point, the restaurant refused to cancel the order entirely. Multiple drivers continued to show up trying to pick it up, and the same woman who refused to cancel the order also refused to tell the drivers it had been canceled. Instead, she blamed us and claimed it was our fault that the drivers were wasting their time.

After about 30 minutes of this mess, Uber Eats finally stepped in, canceled the order themselves, and gave us back our full refund with no extra problems.

Overall, the communication was extremely poor. The staff seemed completely untrained, disorganized, and struggled to communicate clearly in English, which made an already frustrating situation even worse.

After two chances, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Great service. Be careful when paying the bill. The gratuity is already added on the bill although we only had 3 people in our party. I paid 30% gratuity in cash. I did not pay attention that 15% was already added to the bill. The service was great anyway.
I find their food to taste much better than any of the Haitian restaurants I have been to in all the area down to Miami. Their rest room is always very clean.
The music was good, but was too loud for dining enjoyment.
We came for lunch
Overall it was a very good experience.
Awesome impression
Presentation was great
I recommend this Haitian restaurant

My wife decided to go for some basic Haitian food so we went to Kasa Champet. They greeted us very well and it all felt homey. Before ordering any drinks, they brought us water, and one of us noticed that all five drinks had lot of black debris, even though there was ice in the drink. The server was very understanding and gave us bottled water instead (it was not free). We ordered acra, and a platter of seafood to start. The acra was not the best, there wasn’t anything special about it. The sauce and lemon for the seafood came during the very last bite.

Main Course:
My wife had a seafood legumes and I went for the original. We both had different rices, her with plain white rice and me with brown rice and beans. My rice was spoiled and had to be returned to the kitchen. Our server ended up replacing it with white rice and beans. The seafood legumes looked good but the crab was spoiled. The kids had griot and rice, with my son’s brown rice also being spoiled. The check had a 30% added gratuity charge.

Even though I love Haitian cuisine, I will never pick this place as my first (second or third) option. We can definitely do better than that.

Food and ambience are great, especially when they have live music entertainment. Was there for a birthday celebration. The singer of the band playing that evening sang happy birthday to the honoree. That was so nice. The food and drinks were above and beyond great! The service is average speed. One of the hostesses sat me with the wrong party, at first. I guess a lot of people celebrate their birthday there.

This is my first time visiting this restaurant due to my coworker telling me about the amazing prices for lunch and great food Advertised on their lunch menu. The price is 6.99 on their website, but when you get there, they pull a switcheroo and it’s 10.99 instead of 6.99. Beef legume is not on the lunch menu anymore from 6.99 to 20$ and they messed up my order… worst of all no pikliz and I have to share sospwa with 2 white rices. By the way, my Haitian brother took me here and I’m Jamaican,

Drove directly from Orlando and this was our first stop. They did not disappoint, were greeted at the door and seated promptly. We got a Spanish speaking server that was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Two thumbs up

I love eating here and have been coming here since 2018 I’ll say for a birthday party for a friend that passed in the past. I love the feeling of being at home when I come here & the memories had in this location. Even when I just call for the lovely lunch specials I’m always greeted with great joy from Juliana every single time over the phone & when I arrive to pick up the food. She’s also a great server whenever I dine inside from time to time. I recommend all the food but always remember it’s a large portion so it’s worth the money & highly recommend their passion fruit juice & mac & cheese if it’s available.
