I come to Charlie’s many times for lunch. The service is the quickest service I’ve ever had in my life. If you don’t know already, it’s not really a waiter/waitress restaurant. You bring your own food to your table. It’s cheap and really good quality. I’ve never had a problem with Charlie’s in the area. Sometimes the tables and appearance is sticky or a bit dirty. I can understand if the cleaners haven’t gotten to things yet. But overall Charlie’s is a great place to come for lunch, dinner, or just eating. You’ll be happy with your experience here!

Love this place! My favorite thing about this place is when we get pickles on the side just to munch on. My husband gets the plate because he loves the hot sauce. I usually get the mushroom Swiss burger. We go a couple times a month and it’s always ready when I get there (we order ahead), always correct and always delicious.

Food is excellent! Walk in, order at the counter and find a seat. Fountain sodas, pickles and condiments are self serve. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is always packed with people, especially on the weekends but plenty of seating.
You have to get the garbage plate! My favorite is always with the home fries, red hots and Mac salad. Put the hot sauce meat sauce all over it and a side of sweet pickles and it’s perfection! My son had fries and chicken tenders but after trying my garbage plate he left the fries and chicken tenders alone. My husband played it safe with a bacon cheeseburger. Honestly it was more like a smash burger and bacon was cooked to perfection; nice and crispy. He did get the hot sauce meat sauce on the side and said it elevated his burger.
I know in Rochester there’s garbage plates everywhere because it’s what Rochester is known for and I’ve tried many places but Charlie’s wins, hands down.
Highly recommend. I will be returning!

Went here for the 1st time on a Saturday night. Lots of great food choices, and our meal was excellent. Prices are reasonable and portions are good! Service was amazing and they had people cleaning up in the dining area. Plenty of seating and a variety of different little “nooks” to eat. The peanut butter milkshake was the best I have ever had! Will definitely be coming back!

I started taking my sons here when they were little and now they go back on their own. Food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. It’s my first choice when hungry for a burger and fries, although their menu is more than just burgers and fries.

We got a warm welcome, and our order was taken very quickly. The food was good, but my potatoes tasted a little fishy, while the macaroni was fine. I’ve posted pictures of the New Menu with the prices.

Very quick service! The food from here is always delicious! I usually get the fish dinner with fries. Today I very much enjoyed the 2 burger plate with onions and meat sauce. If you’re in the area. I recommend giving these guys a visit!

Charlie Riedels is an absolute institution. Super friendly counter service , the team flys around getting your order ready and making the food to your liking . If you get a burger make sure you ask for it off the char and the meat hot is phenomenal. Fish Fried are great , chicken sandwiches are huge and the super fresh fries and onion rings are fantastic. And you can’t for get all the free pickles !!!!!!! This the perfect spot for your next family dinner night .
