This Applebee’s changed our mind about this franchise. The staff here is very friendly and the cheese burger with fries and a drink(our favorite discounted menu item) comes out perfect every time! To be honest we have tried a few other Applebee’s since coming here but they pale in comparison. Keep up the great work Manahawkin Applebee’s!! Make sure you ask for the frequent flyer card for free food after so many meals.

Beth is hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. From the moment she greeted our table, her energy, professionalism, and genuine personality stood out. She was attentive without ever being overbearing, and she anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask.
My order was perfect, the timing was smooth, and she checked in just enough to make sure everything stayed on point. On top of that, she was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience feel effortless.
Beth is truly an asset to the restaurant, and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I’ll absolutely be returning, and will be asking for Beth every time.

It’s always a fun spot to get a bite and drinks after a long day of shopping on 72. Food and service are always very good and pleasant, the restaurant is always clean as well! I was craving a nice burger and fries, and they did not disappoint. The burger was cooked perfectly and served hot!

Been going to the Manahawkin restaurant for a long time. Love the atmosphere and the staff. But the last 4 times now the food has been way off. Usually get the “two for” menu and the sirloin has been very tough and or rubbery. Decided to try the bourbon burger asked for how it to be cooked and it came out burnt and asked to have it redone but then came out raw. Last night decided to try the strawberry and chicken balsamic salad. I had looked it up online to see what it would look like, it looked good in the picture and ordered it. When it came out it had ONLY one strawberry cut on it. Virtually no onions, and or the dressing was almost nonexistent. The chicken was burnt and the lettuce was not even cut into pieces. Had to ask the waitress for more dressing. Waitress was wonderful. Either Applebees is cutting back on quality food products or the kitchen staff is not into preparing the dishes lately with care. I very rarely ever leave a review because I know every business is trying to make it in this economy but if your customers start to waiver to visit due to uncertainty in the food quality things need to be reviewed to keep your repeat customers.

I revisited after getting terrible food during Covid, I swore off the place. But they were so generous to Veterans, free meal, great decorations. I am an admirer again. Steak seasoned well, juicy burger, so-so riblets (I miss the old version which had more meat)

We just moved to Stafford and this was my first veterans day down here. They treated me like a human! Often up north on veterans day they give me a hard time to even see the veterans day menu because I am female. They saw my hat and knew right away I was there for veterans day. No issue at all they gave me the menu and I got the fiesta lime chicken. It was really good. They also gave me a free beer and a $5 gift card for next time. Our server was really nice, she was good at her job. My husband said to me “this is the first veterans day they didn’t give you a hard time.” We will be going back. Thank you Applebee’s for acknowledging that there are female veterans too.

Dom! What a great waiter he was. Very attentive to say the least and made a bad situation good.
I ordered a steak and shrimp well done for the steak, but it literally came out on the plate bleeding… The table of 12 around me was already done with their dinner while I was still waiting for mine to be re-done the right way… A manager delivered my meal and apologized. Not even managers at top scale restaurants have done that. Dom took the meal off of the ticket and apologized a million times. He also paid attention to detail to everyone’s drinks, apps, etc. He was down to earth and kept things calm. If I had a restaurant, I’d hire him myself. Great job!

Our organization did a Flapjack Fundraiser and the Applebee’s Team is AMAZING!! The Executive General Manager Brad is fantastic. He’s a great guy. He thoroughly explained the process and what was needed and coached the teenagers throughout the morning. He runs a well oiled machine and is so good, he was able to take a bunch of greenies and lead them through an abbreviated 3 hour service.

We showed up around 2:00 on a Saturday and it was fairly empty. We were seated immediately. I’ve never used names but are waitress was Cristie.(I hope I got the spelling correct)
Needless she was amazing she was very prompt and very attentive, whenever our drinks ran low she asked if we wanted more she stopped by several times to make sure we didn’t need anything. And when the food came out I actually didn’t have any complaints both burger was cooked perfectly medium rare, my daughter’s riblets came out super tender. I’ve been a little harsh on some places lately because I felt like they just weren’t stepping up their game but this Applebee’s definitely stepped their game up. A++

Very disappointed the last two visits. Many tables open and still had a wait. I would assume they have limited staff. Also, I ordered a dish which included broccoli and the restaurant did not have broccoli. This Applebee’s was at one time a good standby. Im beginning to wonder.
