I am a 30 year customer of Popeyes. I love it. But, the Cape Girardeau location was a turn off. I waited nearly 10 minutes in the drive thru to order and get my food. (Only vehicle in the drive thru and no one in the dining area). The food was not like anything I had ever had from Popeyes. It tasted like gas station chicken.
I sat in the parking lot to eat. The couple behind me waited twice as long as I did for their food.
While I was there an employee came out the back with the trash, in a pair of pants and uniform shirt that apparently hadn’t been washed in days.
Nearly everywhere I go, I know I can get good food from Popeyes, not at this location. Apparently, the locals already knew, still no vehicles or customers inside.

Went to this location today for me and my kid. Ordered the 5pc tender combo and the shrimp combo (totaling $29.16) . The tender combo was completely fine BUT the shrimp combo was total bs. Everything tasted fine but the amount/quality of the shrimp was ridiculous specially for the amount they charge. Most of it was small pieces of the crust and very few pieces of actual shrimp! (maybe like 4 or 5) Definitely will not be doing that again. I tried the support chat and it gets you NO WHERE ♀️.

I ordered a pick up, and whenever I went to pick it up they said “Someone else has picked it up. There’s nothing we can do.” That’s so crazy that someone else had managed to guess my name to pick up my order, all within the time I placed to pick it up. As you can see from my name I am Kel, and I sure did not pick up the order for Kel. Whenever I went into the store after the drive through attempt with my friend to try again, they just said the same thing. Amber was rude, and not even an apology or any remorse was offered. They just repeated that they can’t do anything. The customer service part of the app did not work either, and when I finally obtained an email to contact, the best they could offer was a $20 coupon. Why would I want a coupon that does not even cover the full price (my order was about $30,) that I am not even guaranteed the food? I can’t even rate the food because I would not know what it tastes like. The service and atmosphere was both incredibly poor. Congratulations to whoever got all of our food for free, it seems you can just do that at this Popeyes.

I had an exceptional visit today my visit time was 8:30 pm. I was greeted by two cashiers in training they were hospitable and very friendly. Even though they did not have what I needed at point of order they offered me other options to satisfy my taste. I appreciate them going above and beyond to accommodate my needs for dinner.

If I could rate a zero, I would. Dining room was closed. (Sign said short staffed) Placed and paid for a $50 order in the drive through. Waited up to 50 minutes for an order with really no concern whatsoever from the staff. There were five people there, btw. Got our money refunded and will never go back. I don’t believe this feedback that anything is going to be done either. Last time I went through the drive through, they told me on the speaker they weren’t open. Don’t waste your time. What a disappointment.

I pulled up to this location 25 minutes before they close(9:35pm). Fast food restaurants, especially those that are in the middle of a populated area, should be well aware that there will be customers coming through right up until closing time. I understand this simple concept, as I have been working in the food industry for 5 years. The person over the intercom informed me, rather bluntly, that they were closing down and didn’t have much food left. I asked for chicken tenders and I was told that they didn’t have them. I then asked them what they had left. He said chicken sandwiches. I asked for two of them, CLASSIC, PLAIN. I then asked if he had fries and he said no. I then ordered mashed potatoes. After paying, receiving my food, and leaving, I arrived home to my long awaited dinner. I was disappointed to find mayonnaise on both sandwiches. I’m sorry but if you don’t close for another 25 minutes you shouldn’t be “closing down” or not dropping more food in the fryers. This is far different from my usual experience at this location, as it normally ends in me waiting there for 20 minutes for the food I actually want rather than screwing up an order that I didn’t even want in the first place. They forget the sauce every time. Every time. I’ve been looked dead in my face and asked what sauce I wanted and still been given a bag with no sauce. When I DoorDash it, no sauce. Drive-through, no sauce. When I dine in, I always have to go back to the counter and ask for sauce. I don’t know why they’re against giving out their own sauce. I don’t know why it’s on the ticket but yet they forget it every single time. It’s astonishing, really.

I go through the drive thru, cannot order at the speaker, it’s broke. I asked for ranch, I, instead was given honey mustard, in which I am allergic to honey! The chicken was very small, very dry and tough and I found a couple of feathers on it. I’m done.

Just made a mobile order had 2 five piece chicken, 3 classic chicken sandwiches 1 spicy chicken sandwich & 2 large fries. and arriving at the store 15 minutes later I waited at the drive thru but no response. So I pull up to the window & he says o it’ll be 15 minutes. We ended up waiting over half an hour for this order only to get cold chicken sandwiches & even colder fries. The chicken was fresh but over cooked. Honestly the worst food I’ve ever gotten from here. We normally have good food & service here but this was a waste of $55.

Very disappointing location. Would not bother coming here if I were you. And if I was a manager or owner, I’d be pissed at my staff and my own incompetence.
