This Perkins restaurant is in a great location on a major roadway in a small shopping strip, although the small shared parking lot has spaces that are rather close together. They are a bit overly cautious during the Covid-19 pandemic however. Diners are greeted outside the entrance by a masked employee at a podium, asking how many guests in your party, then your hands are sprayed liberally with hand sanitizer from a bottle set on “wide spray” (it could get on your clothing) and your temp is taken at very close range. Masks are mandatory for employees and diners, although at this writing, the NJ governor has lifted most restrictions. There are several colorful signs all over the front door glass with pandemic dining instructions. The front entrance is handicap accessible. Once inside, the register area is noticeably surrounded by plexiglass, with an opening at the bottom near the counter for transactions. The dining area was very clean and the service is cordial, but rushed even with only a few dining customers visible. The food is standard reasonably priced diner fare and tasted fine, although the dessert cake was a bit dry and stale (looks can be deceiving in the display case). The restaurant manager was loudly heard (many times) loudly berating staff in the kitchen area. I will not return to this Perkins location.

Perkins Food is always good. We had a great waiter. My only issue was/ their mask policy. It is way beyond excessive at this time. I understand that ppl want to be cautious but they went overboard.

I thought Deeny’s food was good but man I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a good fresh breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is fresh you don’t have to worry about getting sick the staff is friendly and very helpful

Horrible customer service. They make you wait outside, untill you are invited in and didn’t have anyone watching the door. After waiting a few minutes we went inside and waited a few more minutes. A few employees made eye contact with us and never said a word. Then, what appeared to be the manager on duty, met us with attitude about not waiting outside. It’s not exactly warm in New Jersey right now and I was taking my 70 year old mother out to lunch. He had the nerve to tell us he’s doing the best they can…. They had more employees than customers, if that’s the best they can do, then Perkins needs to hire better management.

Went to Perkins for the first time in my life. Which is about 30 years. Sadly, It was an okay place. Nothing that would give a wow factor and felt we did not miss anything for not going there for all my life. We were total of 6 people, waited for a while and food was okay, the service really needed improvement. I won’t be going there again. :((

Safest resturant so far: no entry into restaurant before being measured temp. All staff wear masks, tables were sanitised, platsic utensils . Bad part was, I ordered a corn beef hash and they gave me just a little bit. And the price is not low. Applied for a Pelkin membership but can’t use on spot.

Ive been coming to this Perkins for years with my family. Today I could’ve went anywhere else and I wish I did. I placed an order over the phone and at pick up was given pork bacon with my turkey bacon order. I was made to feel it was the way I ordered it as opposed to using it as an opportunity to train staff on gaining clarification from the customer especially when the other meal ordered was turkey bacon. I had to go all the way back to the restaurant and take back two pieces of pork bacon to collect the two pieces of turkey bacon. Manager was very dismissive. I then showed him the syrup that was placed in the condiments bag carelessly that had spilled out all inside the bag; he didn’t even offer to give me a replacements. Thanks manager Bob Jr. for this poor customer service experience.

They discriminated against me for my religious beliefs and refused to let me in unless I wore a mask in 2023. I have faith in God. I will never come to a place that treats people differently because of their choices and beliefs. This is unconstitutional!! These people don’t respect freedom or personal choices.
