I recently dined at Rupa Vira in Ashburn, Virginia, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm.
We started with the paani puri, which was a burst of flavor—crisp puris filled with tangy, spicy water that left us craving more. The palak paneer was a standout, with perfectly spiced spinach and soft, fresh paneer that melted in the mouth. The naan was fluffy and warm, an ideal companion to scoop up every bit of the rich sauces. The chili cheese bread added a fun, spicy twist—crispy and cheesy, it was a crowd-pleaser at our table. The butternut squash kofta was a revelation, with tender koftas in a creamy, flavorful sauce that balanced sweet and savory beautifully. To top it all off, the Old Fashioned from their cocktail menu was expertly crafted, offering a smooth and sophisticated finish to the meal.
Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, and the presentation was impeccable. Rupa Vira truly elevates Indian cuisine with its creative takes and high-quality ingredients. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu—highly recommend this gem in Ashburn!

Ordered the Rajasthani thaali which took a really long time to be served. I was wondering if they had forgotten about the order because of how long it took. Finally, the thaali was served with daal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, two parathas, rice, some sorta (tomato)? curry with garnished sev, papad, achar and two types of chutneys (dhania/pudina chutney and what I assume was the lasuni chutney). Honestly, imo, the food was okay, nothing extraordinarily great in taste. I found the gatte ki sabzi to be slightly sour. The lasuni chutney tasted bomb though. All the items were presented in a fancy plate so it looks like a feast for the eyes but not much for the mouth.

Also, got the gajar ka halwa for dessert and it tasted store bought for some reason — very generic. Altogether, it was an okay experience taste wise.

Very good for vegetarian food. Also have gujrati and rajisthani thali. Pure vegetarian. Loved crispy spinach starter and special mocktails.

Went for dinner. Pan Gulkhand drink was overpriced. I wouldn’t order it again as it seemed like we were drinking liquid form of pan while eating. Spinach mango chat was light on stomach and flavorful. We also ordered chana batura and pav bhaji. Both were mild and good. Pav bhaji was served with a bowl of fried rice/rice pulao – never seen this combo before. Overall satisfied except for the overpriced, and wrongly ordered drink.

The ambience is really nice and perfect for a relaxed meal. I recommend making a reservation on weekends as it gets quite busy.

We’ve tried their Gujarati thali a couple of times and it’s always been excellent. Each sabji has a unique flavor, and the pooris are soft, less oily, and very tasty.

The staff is polite and helpful. Overall, a great experience—highly recommended!

So if a restaurant claims to be Gujarati then they need to stick to it and be authentic. What you have done at your signature restaurant is hiked the price and completely pivoted to a Punjabi kind of palate. I know you probably don’t care anymore and have enough patrons who vouch for your e food and taste. Try and come back to a more authentic Gujarati driven cuisine. You are neither a fully Delhi style Dhaba nor a fully Gujarati style restaurant. They say in hindi “Na Ghar Ka Na Ghat Ka”

Food was great. Too noisy. And the food was spicy for our taste. The gujarati thali was absolutely amazing and tasty. Strongly recommend the same if you need to taste a variety of vegetarian dishes and sweets. Service was quick, fast and professional. If you are craving for Indian vegetarian this is the go to place for you.

This was our first time dining experience at Rupa Vira. We order few drinks, soup, appetizers and thali. Drinks were good but felt slightly overpriced. The soup ordered was tasteful but would have enjoyed more if it was hot given the rainy day. It was almost lukewarm to cold. Hara bara kabob was a slight disappointment in terms of quantity and felt was overpriced. The chinese bhel was spicy, tangy and refreshing for the pallette. The Gujrati and Rajasthani thali was good for one person and good spread of food items. The taste was also pretty close to the authentic food dishes of Gujrat and Rajasthan. Although a good experience, it was slightly on the expensive side.

Great experience at Rupavira Signature. All the items tasted amazing, and the Methi Malai Paneer was my absolute favorite, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Special thanks to Chef Rupa and Mahesh for the wonderful food. Highly recommended!
