Amazing find! Full of atmosphere, friendly, great service and amazing service. We ordered the crostini toscano, beet salad and sausage pasta (ask for a slice of lemon to take it to another level) and all was amazing! We sat at the bar served by Leandro.. lovely man! Follow his lead on wine and food! Highly recommend!

Belonging to the same family as Lil Frankie’s this is a great option for reliable Italian food and a last-minute large group spot. I ended up having the black spaghetti with calamari and it was great! Would recommend the watermelon basil salad and the molten chocolate cake for dessert. If you’re looking for a ton of space you definitely won’t find it here…but then again, it’s the East Village… and also New York.

Frank is one of my absolute favorite restaurants and has been since the very first time I dined here. The interior is beautiful and intimate, and I always love the music. The decorations make you feel right at home. I often bring friends from out of town here, and they are always impressed by how amazing the food is and how perfectly sized the portions are.
Most recently, I celebrated my birthday here with a large group, and we were accommodated brilliantly, even with multiple allergies and dietary restrictions. My favorite dish is the gnocchi, and I never skip the tiramisu. My friends ordered the affogato and lava cake, which were absolutely delightful, and I was happy to steal a few bites. I have now had two birthday celebrations here, and it will probably become a tradition. Thank you so much to the staff!

I love everything about this place. Came for dinner with a friend after a 2 day conference. One of our friends who lives in town recommended Frank, and so thankful for his recommendation. The bartender/waitress is amazingly friendly, gorgeous and you can tell she loves her job. The menu had so much to choose from. Service was fast and friendly. It’s a small and cozy place with only 1 closet bathroom in the middle of the place. They have an amazing outdoor seating space when it’s good weather.
I highly recommend this place if you are in town.

Cash only! They have an ATM.
I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Fun little place. The steak was well seasoned, but they could have been more creative with the sides offered. The tomato and cheese dish was tasty. Service was great. It’s cash only so be prepared.

Very down to earth casual Italian restaurant in NY. The food was overall good but nothing out of this world like some other Italian spots around the city. It’s also cash only which always rubs me the wrong way for any food service place.
The selection is on the smaller side and the daily specials rotate so plan accordingly. Space is limited especially if you prefer indoor seating over the sidewalk.
While the food was average I will say our particular server was extra kind and helpful with menu recommendations.

Obviously, American Italian food is very different from authentic Italian food, so I couldn’t have high expectations. Food was average, and we paid 116$ for 3 plates that weren’t even sharable. None of us finished the food and won’t be going back. the place was empty when we arrived, I couldn’t even tell if the place was open. When we opened the front door, the workers looked at us like they had seen a ghost, so that should’ve been the first red flag. My honest opinion is that this place is tremendously overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend it.
