Food is definitely moderate, not the one we expected, but it’s enough in Europe. I visited Inverness to travel to the Isle of Skye. As a tourist I really didn’t have much idea about food options and all that. Anyway, come to the point. Who was the waiter? OMG, what an attitude when I ordered just lamb curry with two naan, as I know myself that’s how much I can eat. The waiter’s reaction was irritating, and he said two-person minimum order 24 pounds. We ordered another dish and another extra naan bread too. I was really confused while I selected the 2nd dish, and that was the time the waiter had impatient sounds that were totally different, and I did not like that. That was my first visit, and I will never ever visit again.

Very good restaurant down some stairs just off church street. Nice break from busyness of town. Friendly welcoming staff. Food was delicious we ate all poppadoms. Delicious curry, perfect rice and crisp nan bread.
Good food on great location

Tasty enough food, curry was nice and well cooked lamb. The mixed grill was a bit expensive for the fact it’s just a small plate without the likes of rice or a sauce which you get elsewhere with the mixed grill for the same price – in saying this everything on it was well cooked and tasty, the prawn and chicken was cooked to perfection(chicken is usually my least favorite and it was probably the best so that’s a big compliment).
Keema Nan was tasty, nice and thin and fresh as expected.
Pappadums and dips were also very tasty, other than the spiced onions had no spice but all still tasty

As it’s not our home country so we didn’t expect it to be same in taste as it’s in our country, the food was okay not too good but i will must the the need to focus on their staff they are not really good at their job, their attitude is like they own whole place!

I was seeking Indian food my entire week in Scotland and finally found a place that hit the spot. The restaurant is nice, and clean (a bit tight on seating, but not too bad). The food seemed fresh and well prepared – definitely full of flavor! The whole meal wasn’t too experience and the staff is very friendly, conversational, and there to help.

Ordered some chicken pakora (2 portions) last night, at £5.95 each for 5 bits of chicken you might expect some quality! Sadly not, the chicken was as tough as leather. Will definitely not be back ever. The sourly faced lady behind the bar, (owner I take it) wouldn’t be bothered I’d say.

I’ve been visiting the Rajah since I was a child in the early 90s – A curry was a Sunday night staple for my family during my childhood. We moved to Australia in 2006 and visiting the Rajah is a must every time we return to Inverness.
In the ever changing world we live in, it is such a comfort to know that the Rajah has remained as wonderful as its ever been.
Today’s visit was no exception, we were treated to an excellent meal, just as incredible as I remember it being, with quick attentive service, for a very reasonable price.
I’ve done a lot of travelling, but the Rajah’s comfort and consistency, is why it remains my favourite restaurant.

The best Indian in town! We always come to the rajah when we fancy an Indian and it never disappoints, it’s delicious every single time! We love the coconut naan especially. The staff are so polite and friendly with quick service, we are always given a little chocolate and hot wipes before we leave which is lovely. We wish there was an option to add a tip on the card machine as we didn’t have money on us and would have liked to have given one. Will see you again soon!

Delicious. Everything very nice. Service terrific. Even called me to let me know it was ready. That’s first class and made me feel valued as a customer.
