We have tried to get a reservation here many weekends without luck. We booked a few weeks in advance this time! Our first visit here and we can see why its always full. When we arrived for our 5:00 reservation, many of the people in line (in front of us) did not have a reservation and were seated anyways. However, since we live an hour away, we will be sure to always make a reservation first.
Our server for the evening was Lewis. He was fantastic! He was friendly, made several recommendations and gave us a brief history of the building when asked.
The live music started around 6:00 and was fabulous. We saw a painting or picture of them hanging on the wall near where they played, which was a nice touch.
The food was delicious! The fries are very unique and out of this world good. My boyfriend said his burger was cooked to his liking and really good. I enjoyed my Rachel sandwich. Both desserts were good. The Pot De Creme was exceptional. Glad I was able to get a cup of coffee with my dessert.
The prices were fair. Overall, we have a famtastic date night and look forward to coming back soon!

My Sister wanted to try this place, so here we are. The atmosphere is awesome and should be a delight to most. It does require a stair climb to the restaurant and T-shirts are offered at a vending machine at the entrance. We were seated as they opened and the place got busy quick. Server was a cold side but was quick enough. I ordered the shrimp and grits which were mainly just ok. Of course I got French fries for no other reason to try them out. And they were also just okay but went well with the beer. My sister was overall delighted with her burger. Can I recommend you trying the Horse Inn? Sure it’s a decent experience along with the live music that isn’t loud. There is parking available and prices what about what one would expect.

An old horse barn that was turned into a restaurant…very well done.
Food was outstanding. Had the Italian Beef sandwich, Shrimp and Grits, and Horse Fries. All great!!!
Tried the Paw Paw Ice Cream. It was different. Will have to find a way to come back here.

Delicious food, nice place for intimate conversation, front bar is very cozy. Great cocktails. Local cheese plate was very good, had burgers, delicious, definitely save for pot de crema and their sweet cream ice cream.

A hidden gem. Great menu, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed everything about the Horse Inn. It may be very tough to do, but you must save a little spot for the desserts. We will definitely return. Our server, Abbie, was extraordinary!

This place was BUSY on a Saturday night (a good thing for a restaurant and a good sign for those coming in for the first time)… we didn’t have a reservation, having planned to late, but they do keep tables open for walk-ins and despite being told it was an hour wait (whatever, we knew we ran that risk), we were seated in 15 minutes – Luck, maybe? But awesome all the same!
For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us!
I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger… I have heard that this is a great burger… and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac – just way better ingredients – it has to be the sauce they put on it… Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn’t fall apart).
The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup… we did ask for extra bread… enough said.
I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.

The food is tasty in this cute pub. Good burger and salads. I had a very interesting and tasty sweet corn ice cream – yum. The vibe is lively and cozy. The service is mixed, but that could be down to a busy night. Would recommend for a night out in Lancaster.

We’ve been long time Horse Inn goers, but tonight was pretty terrible. Bar service was great, but our entrees took over a hour to come out.
We had a babysitter and were running out of time. Here is our $16 to go order of Tortellini.
Pretty disappointed for our one night out in a while and over $200.

This place was awesome definitely would go back. Burton B was an amazing waiter the food and drink was excellent. Great atmosphere cool building. They are doing a great thing. They even have a vending machine you can buy a T-shirt in that’s cool too. Cool little town parking lot is a book warehouse I believe. Fall fried gains are awesome so delicious and my husband got shrimp and grits he said it was the best shrimp he ever had.
