Fun little hole in the wall taco joint in a quiet Salt Lake City neighborhood.
Employees and service are top notch .. thank you Sebastian for your friendly smile 🙂

Reasonable prices. Food is made fresh and served hot. Al pastor tacos are yum. Birria tacos are decent. Salsa bar is amazing !!

Definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

talk about a solid place to eat! The birria tacos were insanely good and had a lot of depth in their flavor. Though they were a bit spicy for me, they weren’t spicy enough that I couldn’t handle it. I love the details inside and how lively and comfortable the restaurant feels. They have a small stand with a bunch of different toppings, which is super nice. The customer service was good and I loved the energy that they carried food was out of this world, drinks were cold, and restrooms were clean. Can’t wait to go back!

My bf and I are in love with this spot now. It’s our first time coming here and the fish tacos were amazing. The gentleman gave both of us a free beverage because we were having difficulty putting our order in on their kiosk. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is SOOOOOO good. Never been there until this week. Now been twice Have an acquaintance that moved near there and he recommended it. Got Birria, Sirloin, Al Pastor and Shrimp tacos. Just absolutely delicious. Hot food. Made to order. A good salsa bar. Prices, for how good these, are fair. Highly recommend a visit. This will be a regular for us now. The cheese in the Birria is such a nice touch. The shrimp taco has some fried cheese on the tortilla. Something I love to do myself on tortillas and also rememiscent of the Shrimp taco from Rubio’s (so cal, and which has a stint here in Utah).

Go get lunch or dinner. Great options. You will find something you like Here are some pictures to get you hungry…

I have gone here 3 times now and EVERY time ive ordered food from there there’s always something wrong. How can you work at a mexican restaurant and can’t understand ether language (spanish/english). I ordered 3 shrimp tacos for the first order WITHOUT vegetables. That’s all i substituted. Never said no sauce, or no corn. The tacos are soggy from the caldo del pico. They have ZERO salt or flavor.
Last time i ordered 4 shrimp tacos with everything. Clear and simple (Shrimp Tacos) Mr no sabo somehow heard steak… how do you even mess that up..?? Yet they still made me pay for what i actually wanted and made me pay for something i never asked for.
The time beforee that they gave me someone else’s order. It wasn’t full there was only 4-5 other customers waiting aswell as me and my family. I have worked in customer service before and know how the food industry works. They clearly aren’t trained right and seem to always have a way to make an order wrong. I had highh hopes for this place, yet every time your guys services prove on why i WONT go back. Train your team right.

I got two Al Pastor tacos and one Birria taco and my total was $13.59 after tax. The Birria taco was delicious and needed no additions. My Al pastor tacos were decent and pretty good after I added some pico and onions from their toppings bar. I wish the Al pastor meat was juicier and would maybe like the tacos to be slightly fuller. Overall the service was great and the food was good.

came here based on a recommendation from a friend as I am not from Utah – my expectations were blown out of the water. best shrimp tacos I have ever had. the tacos were great value; they were absolutely loaded with toppings, some kind of delicious sauce, and they did not skimp on the shrimp. will absolutely be coming back here in the future

If you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine without breaking the bank, look no further than Santo Taco. This hidden gem offers an incredible dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, and wallet-friendly prices.

One of the standout deals at Santo Taco is their whole chicken platter for just $18. This perfectly seasoned and succulent chicken is cooked to perfection, offering a crispy exterior with juicy and tender meat inside. It’s a hearty meal that’s perfect for sharing with family or friends.

The platter comes with all the classic sides you’d expect from a top-notch Mexican restaurant at the salsa bar. The rice is fluffy and flavorful, cooked just right to complement the rich, savory beans that come alongside. Together, they create a satisfying base for the main event.

But the feast doesn’t stop there. Their quesadillas are a cheesy delight, with a perfectly toasted tortilla encasing a gooey, melty interior. Each bite is a comforting blend of textures and flavors. And if you’re in the mood for something even heartier, their burritos are a must-try. These massive creations are stuffed to the brim with a delicious mix of meats, beans, rice, and fresh toppings, all wrapped in a soft, warm tortilla.

Beyond the amazing food, the ambiance of Santo Taco adds to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel welcome and well taken care of from the moment you walk in. The vibrant décor and atmosphere make it a perfect spot for casual dining or a fun night out.

In conclusion, Santo Taco delivers on all fronts. With mouthwatering dishes, enormous portions, and unbeatable prices, it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mexican cuisine or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is sure to impress. Don’t miss out on their incredible whole chicken platter and other delectable offerings – your taste buds will thank you! ESPECIALLY HERE IN UTAH!

Update: I’ve been here 3 times since my first review (it’s somewhat close to a disc golf park I frequent) and quality has dropped significantly. Birria was still okay but nothing else seems to be seasoned. Severe lack of flavor. First time back I gave it the benefit of the doubt, but after 3 times with the same experience, I’m thinking my first time here was an odd occurrence. Definitely look elsewhere.

Birria Tacos we’re 9.4 out of 10, but the asade and carnitas were 6.5 out of 10. Atmosphere was really cool and the customer service was great! The salsa bar had several different options and overall was pretty good! The restaurant was clean but a couple of their sodas were out of order when we went. Overall I would recommend this place if you’re looking for Tacos in the SLC area

Neighborhood taco shop that works hard and delivers delicious classic tacos. Mine were stuffed with quality pork, beef, and chicken with tasty marinades, great texture, and the depth of flavor that comes from a good chef who knows how to use charring in meat and pineapple.

A well stocked bar of taco extras round out the experience, my salsa Verde was sharp and hot, my chopped onion and cilantro was crunchy and sweet.

This was a Food Network favorite last year and you can taste the reasons on your plate.
