The Walnut Grill concept began in 1999 when four friends joined together with a common goal: to develop a full-service restaurant with a local feel, inviting our guests, and serving them outstanding food and beverage in Pittsburgh, PA. All of our menu items are made with fresh, quality ingredients sourced by our Corporate Chef, Randy Simpson. Our guests are just that, guests. We strive for each to feel welcomed, enjoy their experience, and leave with a sense of satisfaction that drives a desire for many returns.
New American chain with a full bar offering steaks, salads, sandwiches & flatbreads.

Had Valentines day reservations and while they were super busy, they were only slightly behind and Heather the General Manager apologized and we had a great time talking to her. Our server Jonah was amazing, the food came out hot and fast. But far the best experience here ever. So much better now than past visits. Keep up the great work

The atmosphere is great. The service was great. The French onion soup was delicious, the bar drinks were good and they get mad props for carrying Buffalo Trace. But for the price of the food, the tase was really lacking. A good seafood boil has flavor, has seasoning. There was absolutely none. The steaks are advertised and priced as dry age, but taste and quality just wasn’t there. Ordered steak medium on salad and came out well, croutons tasted burnt, caeser dressing was mid at best. There may be good things on the menu. May go back to give another shot at sandwiches or flat breads, but on the higher end items be careful. Maybe was a bad night, but just my honest opinion on that visit.

Wanted to share a wonderful experience at Walnut Grill thanks to our server, Chelsea. My husband and I rarely dine out, so this was a treat for us, and Chelsea made it even more great. Life has been a bit stressful lately and this dinner out with great service and a pleasant atmosphere was just what we needed.
It’s sad to say most dining out experiences we have anymore are mediocre at best and usually just disappointing. Chelsea was super warm, kind, cheerful and personable. I felt as though she was genuinely interested in providing us with great service… not just getting through her shift. She made fantastic recommendations that made my meal even better. I shared with her that I was hungry and she had our appetizer out in a flash. The manager seemed great too, in fact he helped her bring our food out. Overall the best dining out experience we’ve had in ages. Thank you Chelsea! Well done.

I got their chicken sandwich without a bun and it was really good. If the name doesnt give it away they use walnuts on almost everything. So if you are allergic I definitely would come here. However, if you was good service and they were quick with our food.

The food was amazing! I had a large order that I placed and not only was it done on time, but the food and the service was top notch! The brussels sprouts are delicious as well as the Marry me, chicken and the Walnut salad. If you haven’t tried it, definitely go. Will, the manager, goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful experience.

The food was delicious, I can’t believe it took us so long to try this place. We’re going to start adding it into rotation. The prices are comparable to other steakhouses and the food quality is superior if I do say so myself! They were very accommodating to individual dietary needs and even had a gluten free menu.

I’d give zero stars if I could. I hate giving negative posts, before I begin. We arrived in our seats as a couple of two at just after 11AM. We ordered two drinks, a Bloody Mary and another drink. We waited patiently for our drinks for 20 minutes, I’m leaving out what transpired in that amount of time as it is irrelevant compared to what I am showing you in the photo. 20 minutes go by and we get our drinks, finish them and three other parties consisting of 3, 4 and 2. Get their drinks, food, and are getting their bills when I spoke up POLITELY. I had had enough, offered to pay for the drinks alone. Was offered to wait furthermore for the food and to pay for it and take it with us. I declined politely. I ordered a breakfast platter with crab cakes, 2 eggs and grilled peppers. What is in the photo is cooked burnt lettuce, it’s not spinach folks, it lettuce. No peppers. It was clearly, as you can see an insult. I did not shake up the container this was how it was when I looked inside upon leaving. My fiance, she ordered a steak breakfast skillet. It had no steak but sausage patties home fries and what appeared to be one scrambled egg with a tomato slice. No cheese, no peppers or onions. A tomato slice. We obviously did not eat it. Mind you we were silent the entire time not bickering between ourselves about the service. We were not given an excuse for the ridiculously late service or offered any drinks but to pay for two more 26 dollar drinks that took 20 minutes to get. The photo says enough really and I will not speak negative as there is no need…

Went here for the Thanksgiving dinner buffet, and it was great. An easy option if you have a small (or large group) and don’t want to cook or deal with the mess. But, Chelsea, our waitress, was really the star of the show. She was attentive, kind, and sweet. I would come back just for her! Great server and made the meal extra enjoyable with her positive attitude.

Tonight we met “William ” a sheer delight amongst the dread of life lately . We were in the area to gamble at The Meadows Casino . The food was spectacular! I had the Chimicurro Steak with Parmesan encrusted potato wedges and asparagus spears . My guest had Blue Crab Chowder with Walnut Grill Crab Cake and coleslaw . We asked for bread . We got a handmade loaf of warm love ! The butter was even whipped ⭐
For an appetizer, I had “Nutty Irishman ” . At dinner the Walnut Grill Chocolatini ” did the trick …. Dessert consisted of take home Caramel Cheesecake ✨
I wasn’t thrilled to go to a place we have been before . I was wrong ! ! !
Meeting William on this snowy ,wind blustery night . Became such a charming heart warming dinner . We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will return again and again on our trips to Washington, Pa..
