Ordered the sausage & peppers pizza, fried anchovy stuffed olives, and wings.
Just me being picky…. loved the pizza flavor but the dough could be a tad crispier. Wings were cooked well but a bit basic, so perhaps adding a buffalo or bbq option would be awesome. The ranch sauce was AMAZING!!
Small shop but had a nice waiting area where you can order drinks while you wait. Parking lot is conveniently right next door.
Everything was very tasty and I would go back again!

Love this place! The pizza is delicious, full of flavor and favorably sized slices. Also really cool you can mix and match pizza for pickier eaters. The caesar salad is STRAIGHT FIREEEEE! Everything is really good, ambience is cool, might be a bit of a wait if you go right during peak dinner time but totally worth it. Also, had the spumoni mix ice cream for dinner, it was PERFECT! Little dark chocolate chips, pistachio, and dark cherries made it *chef’s kiss* amazing! They also have a really great lunch menu, and a nice-sized outdoor patio area. The staff is also really awesome, which makes me really love everything about Pappo.

The lady who took my order was extremely friendly. When I sat down to wait for my food, she gave me a napkin, and I was also given a glass with ice in it for my purchased can of soda. My slice of Sicilian pizza was incredibly delicious and unique tasting.

Indulged in two pies, the Margherita & Rosse w vegan cheese – amazing!!! I have a dairy sensitivity and the vegan pizza was the best surprise I’ve had in a while. My partner who loves pizza and considers himself a pizza aficionado said he the vegan pizza was so good he would come back just for that. Excited I found a pizza place that fits to my needs. Also the beet salad was very good and the staff very attentive and friendly.

Since moving to Alameda from San Francisco last September, we’ve been slowly exploring the local restaurant scene—and Pizzeria Pappo is hands down our favorite pizza spot so far. Still have lots more to try around the East Bay, but this one set a new bar.
We decided to stop by on a whim this past Friday and walked in right at 5pm. Half the tables were already full, and it’s a small, cozy spot with only a few 2- and 4-top tables. We were lucky to snag a seat because by 5:30, several parties were waiting for second seating. The whole experience—from the service to the presentation—reminded us of the kind of polished, thoughtful dinners we used to have regularly on our SF date nights.
We ordered the Bianco pizza, and it was phenomenal. Super well-balanced with the lemon zest and ricotta, and it had great bite, excellent dough, and a perfect carriage. The golden beet salad was super fresh and refreshing, a nice contrast to the richness of the pizza. The meatballs were just okay in our opinion, but we wanted some protein to pair with our veggie pizza. Dipping the crust with the leftover marina from the meatballs was perfect. We ended the meal with their vanilla soft serve topped with olive oil and salt—unexpected, simple, and the perfect closer.
We’re already planning a return visit to try more of their pizzas. A must-visit if you’re on the island or nearby.

Picky New Yorker here.
Best Pizza in the East Bay. This place would absolutely hold its own in my old neighborhood. Blistered crust with fantastic bite, good cheese and sauce + the little things (cloth napkins!) to make it feel right.
I am telling all my friends about it, so go while you can!

The service is friendly, welcoming, and attentive to details. The food is delicious. The garlic knots are enough alone to stop by, but the eggplant sandwich, the roasted beets salad, the cauliflower, the pizza, all of it will have your mouthwatering and you planning how soon you can make it back there.
Do not miss the sauce for the garlic knots, you will wish it was sold by the jar. This place is a keeper.

This is a wonderful new place in Alameda and so far I’ve been twice. I got both the sausage and peppers pizza which was absolutely fantastic and most recently the margarita which was thin, crispy and very very good. I’ve also gotten the side salad which has just the right amount of dressing and the meatballs twice which are perfectly made every time. I highly recommend checking this place out. It is a small sit-in so take out is the quicker option.
