Reviews
The menu was laid out and easy to navigate, all prices were displayed with no hidden extras.
Not knowing portion sizes and expecting meager helpings for the pricing, we added some extras and they were not needed!
The sushi was great. The Teriyaki rice bowl with Sirloin beef was very rich and had a lot of flavour. I was stuffed.
My husband had the K town Bao and the Sigon Sizzler fries with beef. He enjoyed them immensely, and struggled with his portion.
Staff were friendly and waiting time wasn’t long at all. It’s small with a warm atmosphere. We were also given fortune cookies upon leaving which was a nice touch.
I definitely want to try more items from the menu when we return.
There’s a great selection of dishes to choose from, and everything I’ve tried so far has been really good. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about providing great service. The restaurant itself is clean with a nice, modern aesthetic, which makes it a pleasant place to eat.
Highly recommend and definitely one of my regular spots in Birmingham.
The portions are very good, can easily split and take home half if you wanted. We powered through like soldiers because it is just that nice.
We got a beef pad Thai, beef mee goreng, vegan chicken firecracker rice, firecracker tenders, k town beef loaded fries. This was for 3 people. This is arguably too much, the portions are that good- the fries especially so nice though they were demolished.
The food is halal (duh) and the staff are very nice. The atmosphere is cozy and everything is clean.
People, I found my new go-to.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was brilliant—stylish, warm, and inviting without feeling overdone. The lighting and décor strike the perfect balance between modern elegance and relaxed comfort, making it ideal for both a casual dinner and a special night out. There’s a real buzz to the place, but it never feels overwhelming.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the menu offers a great variety of pan-Asian options that cater to different tastes. Each course felt thoughtfully prepared, with bold flavours and perfect seasoning. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself already planning what to try on your next visit.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to offer recommendations and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal without being intrusive.
Overall, Rayu delivers on every level—great food, excellent service, and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable pan-Asian dining experience, and I’ll definitely be returning soon.
Prices still quite high but portions are big.
Great service and lovely people.
Got pad Thai which tasted like Wagamama and green Thai curry so for some would be great but personally would not go again or have to get something different if any suggestions
