The atmosphere was bright and beautiful. Our server had to have been watching us like a hawk because as soon as our utensils went down she was next to the table asking how everything was. She was very attentive without hovering and the food was delicious. The broccoli raab was definitely too salty for me, but everything else was so magnificent that I literally do not care. It was the perfect place for an anniversary lunch for my boyfriend and I.

This was a near perfect dining experience. Excellent service nicely paced, beautiful presentations of the food, and a beautiful venue. The building is new, and someone actually considered acoustics in the design–the restaurant was full, but you could actually converse in a normal manner. Anyhow, the food. For the holiday season, the menu is fixed price, with either a three or a four course dinner. A wine pairing is available as well, but we stuck with our cocktails (they get a Yum) and wine by the glass. It’s hard to describe the food–like my Bay Scallops appy, with sunchoke, rangoon, and ponzu demi-glaze, there were three distinct flavor bombs in the presentation. The poached pear was a fave around the table as well. Our diners had halibut, venison, and chicken dishes. I sampled the chicken, which was the tastiest version I’ve had dining out. My Mushroom Wellington was very good, but I missed the texture of beef. Desert: a level above. All in all, a great finish to an evening at Longwood Gardens.

This restaurant is lovely, and I have to rave about Meghan and the Valentine’s weekend dinner. Oh my gosh. We’ve had the lounge food before and it’s always been great, but this really was a step up. Everything was perfectly made, our drinks were fantastic, and our waitress! She was top-notch. Very thorough about my gluten allergy, always there refilling our drinks, super personable, and even took pictures for us to commemorate the occasion.
It really made for a great two year together-anniversary. I wish I was a Bridgerton and could be here every weekend! This was a treat and we’re already planning to be here for year three.

I will start out with how impressed me and my wife were. When we were checking our coats and the young professional lady just struck up a wonderful conversation. The fine and intricate touches that your culinary team show cases is flawless. Ben our server is just perfect and we will be back to ask for him. The kitchen tour was a pleasant surprise. Outstanding wine list and atmosphere. The best part of the meal was how the extremely educated chef turned a 4oz tin of caviar look like it was just opened for the first time at the table with the wonderful idea of placing crème fraiche under the osetra. Just brilliant and I wish I went back to bar to order another. I wish the entire team a wonderful voyage to becoming a Michelin rated restaurant.
Thank you so much for the most impressive lunch ever.

My husband and I have been to 1906 twice over the last two years, specifically to enjoy their tasting menu, and each visit has been nothing short of extraordinary. The quality of the food is exceptional, beautifully plated, thoughtfully curated, and crafted with ingredients that often come directly from the Longwood Gardens property. You can truly taste the freshness and intention in every course.
The service is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, creating a dining experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. Between the gracious staff and the stunning view overlooking the gardens, it’s the perfect complement to any Longwood Gardens excursion.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to extend the magic of your day at the gardens, a meal at 1906 is an absolute must. We’ve loved every visit and look forward to many more.

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my husband’s birthday! This was our first visit here and I was a bit nervous with the only choice being a pre fixe menu but we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious and the service was great! Everyone was prompt and polite and didn’t rush us out. We will be back!

Let me first start out by saying that the staff are phenomenal here. They truly go above and beyond and genuinely care which was very appreciated.
We had a reservation for 6pm and had to wait over an hour. Honestly I was okay with that because we had a few drinks and chilled. Once we were sat it took FOREVER to place our food orders but once again we were fine just drinking and having a good time.
So the food was incredible in flavor but the portions were comical. Honestly I laughed a little when we were served. THE FLAVOR WAS GREAT. But the portions… like for real??
The time between our three dishes was 45+ minutes and we just sat there patiently waiting but it ended up ridiculous.
So if you go here the staff are great, the flavor is great, the portions are hilariously small, and the wait is impressively long…
Will I come back? Sure way after the holidays. But now I know what to expect.
Also for wine drinkers $20+ a glass sooo yeah there’s that.

What an INCREDIBLE meal my family and I had here before walking around the gardens. I just wish I was hungrier (and the courses were brought out pretty quickly—I wish it was tempered a bit slower). My favorite of everything I tried was probably the ricotta gnocchi, which was pillowy and soft. Tasted like I was eating a cloud!
The mushroom bisque and mushroom wellington were both outstanding as well. The ingredients were so fresh and the presentations were beautiful.
For desserts, the mushroom-looking dessert (the caramelia) was a showstopper. An incredible meal for sure.

Excellent restaurant all around. The service was above and beyond and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. We came during the holidays so they had a set menu with a cost of $95 per person. A bit pricy, especially if you have a larger party but worth it for a celebration or special gathering.
The presentation of each plate was captivating. Plenty of options and delicious dishes.

A ‘fine dining’ restaurant is judged not only by the food but also by the service. And the service here? Truly top notch. This was by far one of my favorite fine dining experiences. The servers were wonderfully attentive and always made sure I was never out of water. The care they showed truly elevated the experience. The food was also, of course, delicious and beautifully presented. I cannot wait for an opportunity to return again. And you absolutely MUST get the brioche!
