My favorite coffee shop in central NY! I usually get iced lattes of various sorts, the pistachio is a favorite, and they are so wonderful. The iced coffees are huge and the place is beautiful and often plays good music. Its a really good place to hang out around, there are tables outside and cool street art. Im really happy this coffee shop is in our community.

Everyone in Utica knows that this place is awesome, but I wanted to highlight an additional way in which they go above and beyond. We wanted to show off the best of Utica to our wedding guests so we worked with the Utica coffee team on custom bags for favors! They came out so good, and it was very easy to work with their team to design a bag! And, of course, our guests raved about how delicious the cannoli and half-moon flavors were after the wedding.

Loved the coffee. We got a vanilla caramel latte, and a coconut matcha latte – both with oat. Has merchandise. Very friendly staff that taught us how to pronounce Utica. With love, from Louisiana and Florida.

When you think of a great coffee shop Utica is one that comes to mind. Zero complaints, everything was on point and they also have 32 oz sizes. Wanted to go here for a very long time and I’m extremely happy that I finally did. Prices are very reasonable and there is close parking. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite coffee shops not just in the state but in the country.

This coffee shop has a fantastic atmosphere with an amazing aroma and welcoming feel. I visited on a busy Sunday morning, and the line was quite long, keeping the staff moving efficiently. I really enjoyed my coffee—though most options were light roast, and I personally prefer a darker one. Just something to note for fellow coffee lovers! Still, the coffee was delicious and well worth the visit.

Great place down in Baggs square with an awesome smell, great selection and friendly staff. I stop in occasionally for a coffee and a scone. The line is always pretty full, but it goes quick with multiple registers. Amazingly it’s not the cheapest price for their coffee (ground by the lb), for that I head over to chanatry’s, but I strongly recommend you stop in.

I LOVE this place! The drinks are consistently great! The atmosphere is pleasant, though a bit on the loud side. My only negative is its often very busy which can lead to you standing outside in the weather just waiting to get in. If you during busy times be prepared to stand outside the door or stand uncomfortably close to a stranger.

Luv, luv, luv everything about Utica Coffee Roasting Company located in Historic Bagg’s Square West. Excellent coffee and service. You have to try the Wake The Hell Up blend. So good. They also have the best bagel breakfast sandwich. Equally important is the experience. It was truly a very welcoming environment.

Giving it 4 stars because they actually established a decent business with a decent product in Utica. Back in my day all Utica created in city limits was Saranac. Being a coffee lover and because I was meeting up with Rasta, I just had to visit their downtown Utica location. According to the guy at Turning Stone who was preparing my latte, the coffee brand is very popular. Sells on Amazon too.
Verdict. It is good.
The shop has a historical vibe that I enjoyed. Would definately stop by again if ever in the area.

We travel regularly from Ohio to MA and stay in Utica overnight, in part so we can have Utica coffee the next morning. We love their mugs (Wake the Hell Up) and their scones. I miss being able to get oatmeal. Forget the muffins; they are not muffins but huge blobs of oversweet cake. The staff is very organized and efficient and kind. The new mural is nice; the one in the back is a hoot. Love you guys.
