If I tell you these were the best ribs I ever had in my life!!! The brisket potato is delicious as well. They do not hold back on the brisket. We live 1.5 hours away and it was more then worth it.

My friend and I were just passing through town and craving BBQ. We first stopped at another spot that happened to be closed, but they recommended Pop’s Lickin’ and Smackin’. When another local business points you somewhere, you know it’s gotta be good, and it definitely was! The food was delicious, the staff were so polite and genuine, and the whole experience was great from start to finish. The price was extremely reasonable and the only regret I have is not getting the banana pudding. Highly recommend!

This is a great BBQ place if you happened to travel nearby. Best BBQ ever, the Brisket and ribs are must order items, very juicy and tasty, not salty. Lovely weather, we had a great time eating outside and enjoying the sunshine!

Update: Since I cannot write another review on the outstanding service our family received, I updated my original. I contacted POP’s BBQ regarding catering for the meal after my father’s funeral service. They did not hesitate with discussing how they could help. This was one less thing I had to worry about. They even delivered the food. The food itself was delicious and was prepared perfectly for serving. I appreciate all of their help. Please do not hesitate for a quick meal or your catering needs.

Great local BBQ joint. Well worth the stop and super friendly service. Plus no line to wait in, at least when we were there. If you’re looking for a comparison to Snow’s (as it seems everyone does around here):
Pork Ribs – juicier and more tasty than Snows
Brisket – absolutely delicious, moist, great bark; very slight nod to Snows
Mac and Cheese – possibly the best I’ve ever had
Potato Salad – solid choice, compares favorably just depends on what you’re looking for
The prices didn’t seem too crazy either. And they have a catering/large family order that I expect will take advantage of at some point too. Looking forward to trying Pop’s again soon.

This was our first time coming here and it did not disappoint. We love BBQ and are very picky when it comes to ribs and brisket. This is by far better than Rudy’s / C&J’s and Snows BBQ. We will be back. They are super friendly too.
