I have not been to a Roberto’s in 40 years. I stopped by this place for some chicken rolled tacos. We used to get 5 for $1 back in the day. Now you get 5 for $9.00. Everything else is a la carte. The food is consistent and the service was good. This place is near Torrey Pines State Beach and seemed extremely popular.

Interesting spot at a corner; due to the darkness, we could see the ocean but could hear it! A wonderful experience. The tacos weren’t impressive, which is why they got 4 stars. Although they were tasty, it was worth the 20 km drive from our hotel to get there.

After first discovering this spot through a DoorDash order, I was impressed enough by their California Burrito to make a return visit in person—and I’m glad we did. This time, my daughter and I got to enjoy the food fresh off the grill, and it was even better than we remembered. I went with the California Burrito again, loaded with extra carne asada and chipotle sauce, while my daughter opted for the Arizona Burrito—a Cali-style wrap with grilled chicken instead. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The only real challenge was finding parking during the busy lunch rush, but the warm, friendly service from the two ladies at the counter and the incredible flavor of the food made it worth every bit of effort. If you’re in the area and craving a satisfying burrito, this is definitely the place to go.

Roberto’s Mexican food was an overall disappointment to me. I must say though, I had excellent customer service from a young man there but my friend was not treated as well by the next cashier. I ordered a fish burrito that had a VERY overcooked super thin partially dried out breaded fish filet inside an overcooked and partially dried tortilla. I also had a horchata drink that was the worst watered-down horchata I’ve ever had from a Mexican food place. They don’t offer free condiments like pickled carrots and jalapenos like other Mexican fast food places do. It’s $3 for a small baggie. I was there with friends so I didn’t return my food which I would have had I had more time being there on my own. For what I had, the prices were ridiculous.

We always love hitting up Roberto’s before the beach. Ordering in the app is a breeze. And every now and then we get rewards for free food or drinks. Most of the time the food is on point! Every now and then the A-team isn’t working but it’s still good. Definitely a go-to spot.

Always eat here when i am in San Diego. Great outside eating area and super friendly people. The salsa is great. The habanero salsa will burn your face off, but is addicting and delicious. Cool views of the backside of Torrey pines.

Solid Mexican food in the border right by the beach. Thought the pork in the taco was a bit dry but solid flavor and the salsa was great – they also have quite a few options to choose from. Note that while the tacos are quite pricey, they’re also massive so 2 tacos are enough for a meal. There’s definitely a bit of a line around lunchtime but service is pretty quick.

Lovely location. Always had been. No bargains on the food, but wildly consistent. Yummy hot sauce. An interesting vestage of one of the classic Roberto’s of the late 1980’s .

Service was good, not that much parking available but that’s normal in this area. We tried this place out since there were a lot of positive reviews and a long line however the food is subpar. The burritos had no flavor. The California burrito we got was not even heated all the way through and was served cold. The hashbrown burrito was the normal egg and bacon however it was not seasoned as well. It was ok. Not bad but way too overhyped. We don’t recommend
