Such a cute and intimate restaurant! My partner and I celebrated our anniversary with fine dining, and the staff were all wonderful. The ambiance, the food, the wine—this place checked all the boxes. They do recommend booking a reservation, especially for the upstairs space as its more intimate, but they do have a bar area on the first floor that may offer walk-in seating.

We love Café Dear Leon and were excited to try out this new venture. So glad we did!

We added that it was our anniversary in the reservation and while some restaurants completely ignore something like that, Love, Pomelo went above and beyond. They set up a nice table with a beautiful rose which they wrapped up nicely and gave to us at the end of dinner. Everyone from the hostess to the waitress said happy anniversary and truly made it so special. On top of it all, the food was delicious. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more for special occasions

Love that this place makes the pasta in house – which should be a pre-requisite for any Italian restaurant in this area. We did the three course meal and it was perfect start to finish – highly recommend the burrata, mussels, any of the pastas, and the steak. Great to see a spot like this doing well and this should be on your shortlist for Italian food in Baltimore.

Atmosphere is perfect for date nights and it’s right on the square, making it easy to get drinks before or after.

With a recent infatuation of fresh made pasta and my love of cozy quaint restaurants, Love, Pomelo was a must try on my list.

I’ve walked by Love, Pomelo on numerous occasions and never knew that some of the most delicious pasta was being made. I made a reservation for one and took a seat at the bar for the evening. The ambiance invoked a comforting romance novel, dimly lit with soft antique touches.

Since I planned my visit on a Wednesday during happy hour, I was able to not only partake in happy hour, but also their $20 pasta specials. So, I started with a Spritz as my cocktail and some of their broccoli, which I never knew broccoli could be the main focus and taste so damn good. Perfectly seasoned, crisp, and full of garlic flavor. I’m still dreaming of this broccoli. I opted for a red sauce rigatoni pasta with guanciale, and this pasta literally made my soul dance. A little red pepper flakes on the side for heat and I was in heaven. I couldn’t end the night without dessert, although I was stuffed. So, I settled on a small serving of Amaro & Gelato. The sweet Amaro liquor poured over two small scoops of real pistachio gelato was the perfect nightcap to a beautiful meal.

Between the fresh made pasta and broccoli, Love, Pomelo has stolen a piece of my heart, to which I cannot wait until my next visit to relive the experience.

We were very excited to dine here, as friends have had excellent experiences and we are big fans of Café Dear Leon. Unfortunately, we were mostly disappointed.

To start, we ordered the stracciatella cheese, chicken meatballs, and foie gras. The stracciatella was great, and the chicken meatballs were fine but a bit plain. The foie gras, however, was not good—metallic and funky. We each took one bite and couldn’t eat any more. We’ve had foie gras many times elsewhere, and this tasted off.

The pasta dishes (carbonara and cacio e pepe) were well prepared with a nice texture, but both sauces were overly salty.

Lastly, the scallops were cooked nicely but, again, were over-seasoned and otherwise not particularly memorable. Overall, the portions were light, but this was expected.

The tiramisu, bread, and stracciatella were the highlights. We had heard great things and perhaps this was simply an off night, but at $170, we won’t be returning to find out.

My friend and I made a reservation, and we had a great table, a nice server (shout out to Ben). We were not interrupted, service and food was fantastic. I’ll be back.

Look at these cool chairs. They were comfortable too!

Cute Italian date night spot! The burrata appetizer was the star. Homemade pastas. Great deal on Wednesdays.

I’m a big fan of Cafe Dear Leon, so I had very high hopes for Love Pomelo and am happy to say I was blown away! We went opening night and were able to get seated at the bar fairly quickly. All the staff were super friendly and excited to share their drink and food recommendations. We sampled the supplì (think of a mozzarella stick covered with risotto and fried) and both the pasta dishes and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We ordered two different spritzes (both incredible) and sampled some red wine as well. So happy to have a quality neighborhood Italian spot – I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Our server took some time to get to us. Food was good but my pasta was a bit hard, my partner’s on the other hand his food was great but his portion and mine were small.appetizer was good too, and so were our drinks. Desert on the other hand was 10/10 I highly recommend the tiramisu and gelato. Good night regardless
