Literally the best Chinese for over 100 mile radius…cooked perfectly new York style. If you want the best bang for your buck, come for the lunch special.

Me and my husband used to love this place. It was the only Chinese food in the area we actually liked every time. We’ve tried it twice since the new owners took over. First time, we ate in. We had our order taken, our food brought to us, and we were given our bill. We didn’t get checked on even once during our whole meal. The second time we got takeout. The fried rice was sort of sloppy, and tasted mediocre at best. The Roast Pork with Vegetables that I got I found a huge clump of hair in it, and a bunch of strays. Not to mention the fact that the food wasn’t even good. Extremely disappointed. Wish the previous owners never had to retire. We will not be going back.

In the past this place was unbelievable, unsure what happened. I would recommend the tangerine chicken and shrimp!!! Yum

One star is being kind, smelly, terrible, dirty, clumps of Stuff in all the sauces. I didn’t even eat anymore then a bit. Chicken was undercooked, sauce was chunky. Terrible, horror stories about this place. Remember from years ago old owners were great. New owner is terrible low quality everything. I got a $30 worth of trash. Not edible, terrible stay away. Stars are lies to attract people.

My boy friend and I went to Golden Fortune for lunch. Upon entering the building one could see that it was fairly dirty but not to the point where one would be deterred from eating there. We sat down and received a bowl of crispy noodles and duck sauce. There was nothing wrong with the noodles or sauce but once we got to the bottom of the bowl the noodles became wet and soggy. After inspecting the bowl we found a thick gelatin like substance caked on the bottom of the bowl. I got the tea, the tea pot had a thick layer of dust on it and the tea tasted like it had been steeping since the change in ownership. The food wasn’t much better we got wanton soup, egg drop soup and spare ribs. The only noticeable taste in the soups were old water and the spare ribs were either 100% fat or too crispy to eat. The food was a disappointment but not the most disturbing experience of our trip. The wait staff sat down at a table next to us to eat lunch. Their lunch consisted of Chinese Food they had ordered from a different Chinese restaurant in town. If the Chinese food from the restaurant you work at is so bad you need to order other Chinese food for lunch you probably shouldn’t be doing business and certainly should not eat it in the middle of your dining room. It was strange and off putting to watch not to mention extremely unprofessional.

This has to be the best restaurant I have ever been too. This used to be my grandmothers favorite restaurant before she passed so it’s nice to come and visit to remember all the memories I have had there. The staff were very friends and the food was served fast and cooked to perfection. You get water, chips with sweet and sour dipping sauce and warm tea with your meal which is very good. A beautiful building with a beautiful landscape. I highly recommend you dine at Joy Wah.

This is the BEST Chinese restaurant I have been to in my life. The entries are delicious and bountiful! It’s quiet, quaint and romantic with beautiful views of the Connecticut river . Plenty of parking and very clean restrooms. The staff are friendly and efficient. I would recommend it for lunch or dinner.

,very nice family and friends place. No handicap bathroom. 2 for ladies, too small if child needs help. Very good food, American also. Good portions. Served to table, nice not to have to get it, Sunday buffet. Serve your self service. Been eating there for 21 years. New name is Golden Fortune, former Joy Way. Normal price and lunchtime also with specials. Beautiful scenery along Connecticut River.

We have been here many times before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tonight, we bid a sad farewell to a dining tradition. The food tasted like it had been microwaved (but only long enough to make it tough, not hot). Waitress was pleasant, and tried hard. But, this was not enough to offset the Jerry Springer atmosphere, with the loud abusive (manager?). This is not what I have experienced in the past. We will not be back. The Joy has left the Joy Wah…….
