Scituate Farmers Market
Went last month with husband and had to go back with friends. We ordered and tried so many tapas. The hanging bacon was fun. The menu is seasonal and we had pumpkin hummus, stuffed dates, bruschetta, meatballs, Brussels sprouts and more. They had so many different ciders, beer and local wine. Love that they support local wineries and farms.

Very impressed with the quality and selection of the dishes at the Groundwater. I had the fig prosciutto flatbread (pictured), which was a large and filling meal. The flatbread was crisp, the figs sweet. My colleagues similarly enjoyed their dishes. Each dish is crafted with care and attention. I went on a Friday evening, and they had a pair of talented guitarists quietly playing in the background. To top of off, they offer a great selection of fresh frozen items for take home. We will definitely be back!

What a great find !! Great café, with a small marketplace. Sabrina is amazing, friendly, and accommodating. Had breakfast with riding companion. We both enjoyed the Maple Croissant. A-maz-ing! Super yummy! Coffee good, hot mocha – top notch. Worth a trip from anywhere! Definitely will return!

We had dinner here recently with our daughter and 2 grandchildren. If a 4.5 rating were available, that’s what I’d give. But I don’t do ratings of 5 unless there are no problems at all. The tapas selections were all delicious and there was a great variety available. I especially liked the brussels sprouts, and the avocado stuffed with ricotta, pistachios, and cranberries. But, the skewered chicken was marred by incompletely cooked risotto (still a little crunchy in the middle). And the water glasses were really small, requiring frequent refilling. Service was friendly though a bit slow and disorganized. There are local food products available for sale in a small area as you enter and it was fun to browse through them. I am looking forward to returning here in the future!

The staff at Groundwater absolutely saved our night! We had family coming in from out of state and originally had made reservations somewhere else. They got caught in traffic and so everything went a little off script, resulting in a VERY late dinner. The ladies at Groundwater accommodated our order and it was worth the last minute change! The food was delicious and my out of state family loved all the local and fresh food they offered. They’ve already decided that next time, we’ll have to give the tapas menu a proper try.

Diverse and unique farm-to-table menu for breakfast, lunch and now tapas and drinks in the evening! I love this place! Also, check out the very impressive beer list.

Goundwater Cafe has a great menu! Steak, chicken, vegetarian, and vegan options available. For my last visit, I had the prosciutto, gorgonzola, and fig flatbread with balsamic drizzle. I’ve also had sandwiches and steak tips. Everything is so flavorful! And every visit, I shop in the market area and pick up some frozen entrees to make yummy, easy dinners at home. You’ll be happy you stopped by the Groundwater Cafe!

Food sucked. Shared some type of pizza that looked like it had jam, figs and meat on it. Honestly it smelled rancid. Another party ordered a salad that was over priced for what she got. Another party ordered ravioli and said they were just OK. Soooo no none of us who all live in Scituate will be back. There were no other people coming into the restaurant after 8. It’s the weekend, you should be busy. Your food line needs to change.

My friend and I have never been so we decided to plan a lunch date….we will make this our normal lunch date spot for sure! The food was delicious (like to die for!), service was friendly and quick, the market is so cute and has such different things….we even got to meet the owner who was so welcoming and inviting. It’s easy to spend so much time in there with the warm and cozy environment.
