I went to this bakery found by accident but had to try it. We came couple other times didn’t know they were closed. Drove all the way from Bellwood. Well I got the right day today and picked up multiple slices let me tell you honnnnnney this cake was absolutely Delicious. I got Strawberry Crunch, Lemon Pound Cake, German Chocolate, Carmel Butter Cookies and Banana Pudding. Everything was tooooo good but my Favorite 3 are Carmel perfect taste cake moist German Chocolate and that Lemon Pound Cake . I had a chance to speak with the owner such a very nice lady soft spoken and sweet. If your in the area definitely give them a try You Will Not be Disappointed. Theses are the cakes that should be in the fish and chicken and submarinerestaurants we have in Bellwood Maywood Broadview area because them other people not good. I will definitely be back to this bakery On Repeat Sooooooon.

I love sweets! I stopped by this black Owned bakery that I heard about to give their sweet treats a try. The treats are good however the customer service is horrible to say the least The owner of Brown Sugar bakery is NOT pleasant. No smiles, No gratitude, No appreciation, No happy your”re patronizing our business, the atmosphere is cold and not welcoming at all.
I drove from Shorewood to Bolingbrook for sweets treats and I don’t mind the commute for good food along with great customer service.
You’re missing good customer service part and for that reason you have lost a customer!

We stopped in to try some of the desserts and they were fantastic. Our favorite was the sweet potato pound cake. I’m not sure exactly what was in the icing to make it so addictive but we loved it. Also the caramel cake was delicious, the frosting was a tasty balance with the cake. The service was also great and the baker gave us some great recommendations. I definitely recommend stopping by to try this place out. There are definitely more things we want to stop by to try.

Feels like I just discovered a diamond in the rough. Stumbled upon this place on Door Dash and I dashed my way on over there just in time before they closed. I called before I arrived to make sure they weren’t closing early and to ensure they had the desserts in stock that I wanted to try. They answered and did have the items in stock. They also mentioned their top sellers. When I arrived, I was helped by a male cashier, I also heard someone refer to him as chef. He was very welcoming and also suggested other items to add to my order. I tried the caramel cake, red velvet cake and banana pudding. Caramel cake not pictured because it was my daughter’s. I was only planning to taste the red velvet cake but couldn’t stop myself. All 3 were simply delicious. You can tell that these desserts are made with southern love and care. The only suggestion I would like to provide to this business is to maybe have a printed menu displayed. I love technology for sure, but I had a hard time reading the menu on the tv/monitor with the glare from the sun and it also rotates to other things on the display so I had to keep watching and play close attention to see the items available on the menu. As for the desserts…Yummy, just yum!! I’ll big back. I mean..be back .

I messaged this business to see, if by chance, they could make my sons dream of having a strawberry crunch cake for his 16th birthday come true despite them being closed. They agreed! I paid immediately via toast on 12/30 for a 1/7 pickup and received an error message despite the money being taken from my bank account. I immediately messaged the seller regarding this. Just received a message from them today that they are cancelling my order due to not receiving payment in time. Thanks for nothing! Now I have 78.12 missing and no cake.

This is definitely my go to for a slice of caramel cake. But can’t just get one. I have tried almost all the slices. And it’s really a can’t miss. Rum cake, sticky strawberry salted caramel and butter creme. This place will hit that sweet tooth on the head. And be warned my guy at the counter will seduce your taste buds, have you buying 7slices when u came in for one….
