I had a taste for soul food tonight & this place didn’t disappoint. I ordered the fried whiting platter, w/ mac and cheese, and string beans. The platter came with three large pieces of whiting, and could easily feed 2+ ppl. The fish was fresh, the mac and cheese is better than most places in the city. The string beans were okay, but definitely didn’t take away from the platter. Will be back

The food is horrible. The rice was filled with butter. Salmon was not cooked fully (raw) and sour. Mac & cheese was sour. Green had too too much salt. I will never return. Whom ever owns this place should be ashamed. This is not SOUL food!!!

Hubby discovered this place one afternoon he was hungry and wanted something different and also wasn’t in our area. Today was my second time having this food it was OK! The yams had less cinnamon than my first time, which made them taste better to me. Mac was good and so was the rice. Two pieces of fish makes this meal more than enough. I was full before I go to the 2nd piece so I’ll have something to eat later. I am giving four stars because I wasn’t moaning with each bite like I do when I have great food.

I ate food from here once before and it was good so I made sure next time I was around that neighborhood I would go there again and let me say it did not disappoint.. the chicken was juicy/crispy.. The Mac and cheese and lastly the string beans with smoked turkey were average at best but overall it’s was worth the $20

My wife Jennifer and I ordered from them yesterday for the first time. We ordered fried chicken with Mac & Yams and fried whiting the same sides. We went to pick it up, got home and realized they gave us both fried chicken. It was 20 mins to their closing time when we realized it so we called back and let them know what happened, we spoke with the owner Dominique who apologized and offered to give us a free platter the following day. We called after work today and spoke with Dominique once again and she gave us two free platters and drinks which was very commendable. Mistakes happen so we aren’t mad and will definitely be returning. Thank you!!

My 1ST time ,The person that took My over the phone order was great… but nothing about the food made me want to return. The salmon still had the skin on it which is a major turn off and the greens were so salty I couldn’t even eat them. Other than that everything else was OK.

Food was pretty good. Had the salmon mac n cheese with marshmallow yams…the Mrs had fried wings mac n cheese and marshmallow yams we shared a side of greens. Will definitely give them another play. Glad to see they aren’t an Asian soul food place lol
