My husband and I had brunch at Mr. C’s Fried Chicken and Waffles. Despite a large party, our wait was surprisingly short, only taking five minutes for the wait staff to acknowledge us and guide us to our seats. I had the chicken and blueberry waffles with scrambled eggs and cheese, while my husband chose the chicken-fried steak with gravy, potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese, and a blueberry waffle.
The food was delicious, except for the eggs, which were not fresh and seemed cold. The service was decent, and we would likely return, but we hope they can improve their customer service.

This was our first visit! We ordered a chicken and waffle meal the fried chicken was really good. A Big C’s breakfast was good only issue we had with that meal was that online it says $17 and we got charged $19 we had two legs which is dark meat not white meat! The young lady said that she was going to let the mgr know being they were not in the resturant at the time of our visit! We also ordered the Waffle Breakfast Samich that was really really good!
We also had a order of Fried Catfish
Southern style fried catfish with one side
The Mac n cheese was really good I ordered a extra side the cabbage it seemed burnt, it did have seasoning in it I give it that.
We ordered Blackened catfish with two sides
Collard greens and yams those were on point for sure.
One last thing we got Philly Cheese Steak
That was good.
So overall everything was good minus the over charge of $2 and the 4 or 5% to pay w/credit- debit card.
Update – We tried them for a second time. The service was just ok from the guy waiter we had. He never introduced himself. I didn’t care too much for his sanitary skills.Touching/rubbing his face, messing with his nose (gross) not once did he wash or sanitize his hands. You are working with people’s food and drinks. The family enjoyed their food. We had chicken fried steak, sweet and stacked pancakes and waffle breakfast sandwich

I’ve been here a couple times now and the food is really good. Last time I got pork chops with gravy which were amazing. This time I got chicken and waffles and ordered a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw was just cabbage (a bit plain) but tasted really good. The chicken was juicy and tender and you can tell they make it from scratch. The waffle was nice and fluffy. Their cornbread is fluffy and actually tastes like corn (it’s really good). I highly recommend this place .

After we ordered, the wait time for our food was reasonable. I ordered the fried pork chops, which came with two sides. My husband ordered chicken wings and waffles, and my grandson had two drumsticks and macaroni and cheese.
They enjoyed their meals. However, my pork chops lacked seasoning. I had to dip each cut of my chops into salt. I saved my second chop and my sides for a to go container. You get a good serving of food! I may come back to try a different menu item.

Found a short black curly hair in the butter with the cornbread first thing, the bread was roomtemperature but fine overall. The server seemed disinterested in our table and was very flat in interactions. She didn’t seem to want to be there at all. A corner of the table was sticky and we had to ask her to clean it and again she seemed like she couldn’t care less even though she did do so. The food took an extremely long time to arrive; once the food came it was good but the server only asked once if we needed anything before disappearing again for the rest of our meal. The restaurant wasn’t very full so it wasn’t like she had a bunch of tables to balance either. A member of our party had to flag her down to get the checks and again to get a to go box. This was an okay experience at best, while the food was good there was just so many issues with the experience.

Don’t overlook this place. It’s got a good variety menu and tastes like everything is made from scratch. The cornbread was a nice surprise and was beyond good. Got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens – no salt or pepper required.

Food was amazing and good price ! We will definitely be back..can’t wait to try other things. Complimentary corn bread to start, fried pickles for app and shrimp with tenders and Mac and chz for meal .. omg the gravy was sooo yummy.

I really wanted this place to be my new food spot. Our first 2-3 times going was amazing. Food, service, and vibe. We haven’t been in about a month and decided to come. We were asked to sit on the bench until we could be seated, even though there was plenty of tables available. Waited over 45 minutes and never seated. We left. This was about a week ago. We decided to come today. Got here at 10:45. We were told to sit where we wanted. Chose our seats. Hardly anyone inside eating. It still took over 20 minutes to do our drink orders it took about 10 minutes before we actually got the drinks. Waitress said that she would come right back to get our order. She didn’t. About 25 minutes later, another waiter asked if we’d made an order. He took our order. About 45 minutes later the food came out.
We ordered French toast, eggs, and bacon.
French toast was burnt. Tasted burnt, but part of the bread was soggy. Sounds like the grill was too hot for the toast. French toast was lukewarm.
The eggs weren’t scrambled, they were folded and cold.
Bacon was good, but cold.
Drinks were good. But only offered a refill once the whole visit.
This place, in my opinion, has always been understaffed. I also see new faces.
Customer service is not good. So many people came in and just sat down and looked clueless.
I thought I’d hit the jackpot weeks ago. But after my experience the last two times, I won’t return. I also hate to give negative reviews, but today was just horrible.
I do hope that this place improves and figures out a way to make it enjoyable to its customers on all levels. Best of luck to anyone who goes.

NO ISSUES HERE! The food was worth the wait. Placed a to go order and it took about 25 minutes or so….but the flavor was AMAZING. The fried pollock was a little greasy for my taste, but other than that EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!

Food was great, wasn’t offered any cornbread. Our waitress was very sweet, a little soft spoken but decent. The hostess was rude. She took our drink order and didn’t come back for 10 minutes. Could definitely step it up in the service department.
