We went to Amritsar for a off day lunch. It was already past 5 but they served us food — that was really good. Food were cooked right then, it is also admirable. But however, they were not up to the mark.

We ordered Basmati Plain Rice — which costed 100B, a bit expensive than the other places. But it was okay. Then we ordered Mutton Rogan Josh — it was around 360B, they told us they would provide 6 pcs of mutton (3 boneless, 3 with bones). But the pieces were merely a pieces. Like combining 3-4 small pcs you will get 1 large pc. So, roughly at 360B you won’t get two whole size mutton. Rather they provided a bowl full of gravy, the gravy however tasted nice to me. But in that price, the mutton is not worth it considering the mutton pc size.

Then we ordered the Mix Vegetable Karai — it costed nearly 260B. It was a bit overcooked, like they melted all the veggies (sabji), only 5/6 pcs of panner, with no sign of real vegetables. However, there were peas, yardlong bean. The mix veg karai was okay in taste, nothing special. But considering the price, they should have provided some more paneers.

Lastly, we had Fish Curry of King Dory. It was the item that was perfect. Loved the taste. Cooked in Indian style, the fish was soft, quantity was good. It costed around 330B. Recommended item.

The last disappointment came when they added 7% vat + 10% service charge with the total bill. Vat is okay (though i donno what’s the Thai Vat Policy) but 10% service charge? What service they provided? At least, for this 10% was excess.

However, the total experience is bitter sweet.

We had a wonderful experience at Amritsr Bangkok. As pure vegetarians, we are always careful about food while traveling, and this place truly impressed us.

The staff clearly understood our requirement of no egg, no meat, and no fish products, which gave us great peace of mind. The food tasted authentic and very close to Indian flavors. The chaat was fresh and flavorful, and the paneer dishes were perfectly cooked.

Service was polite and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine Indian vegetarian food in Bangkok.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Amirstr Indian Restaurant in Bangkok. The restaurant truly delivers authentic Indian flavors with generous portions and comforting, home-style taste.

The non-veg thali was a highlight — a well-balanced spread with rich gravies, perfectly cooked meats, fresh bread, and flavorful sides that together made for a satisfying and complete meal. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of traditional Indian spices without being overwhelming.

The tandoor chicken deserves a special mention. It was juicy, smoky, and beautifully marinated, with just the right char from the tandoor. Easily one of the best tandoor dishes I’ve had in Bangkok.

A big thank you to Gopal for taking such great care of us. His warm hospitality, attentiveness, and friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. He truly went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and happy throughout our meal.

Visited for breakfast and, after a quick discussion, switched my order to Kulcha and added masala tea flavored with elaichi and sukumel—great taste and very satisfying.

The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed with soft Indian music playing in the background.

It’s also a good choice for kids: the table mats include fun activities like word puzzles, missing numbers, word scrambles, and more, which they’ll really enjoy.

Really enjoyed the food here — a great spot for comforting North Indian flavours in Sukhumvit.
The taste overall was satisfying and felt authentic, especially if you’re craving proper Punjabi-style food.

What we ordered:
• Gobhi Parantha – flavourful, well-made, and comforting.
• Achari Chicken Tikka – full of flavour, nicely spiced, and very enjoyable.
• Chhole Bhature – the chhole were tasty; the bhature were okay, not the best I’ve had, but still decent.

The service was good, the place was comfortable, and the prices felt fair for the quality and portions.

Overall:
A solid, reliable choice for Indian food in Sukhumvit. Even though the bhature could be better, the flavours overall were good, and I’d happily come back to try more dishes.

My Indian boss recommended this place and it does not disappoint me at all!! The food is so good and tasty. The service is amazing. I’m not quite familiar with Indian food, the waiter was very helpful in suggesting the dishes.
My most fav dish here so far is chicken tikka masala. Their indian sauce also very delicious and nice compliment to the main food.
