I was so exited to have Dominican food option near me and I want to try the pernil wich I’m a big fan of Dominican pernil, I feel like for a tiny portion was over priced, specially when is just pork not beef!,I mean I understand prices are higher and I usually don’t complain about food prices if I get what I paid for but look at the pictures I pay 16 plus tax for some fat and grease barely any meat and zero of the crispy skin! Very disappointing!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I placed a $50 order and was very specific that I only wanted chicken in my sandwich and they proceeded to add ham and other things to my sandwich which I understand can be a mistake however the way they handle the situation was totally unprofessional. They told me that’s how the sandwiches come even though I specifically asked for only chicken cabbage and sauce.
They not once offered to even remake it or refund my money. It’s a shame because we were excited to have a Dominican restaurant in the community, but not if they are going to be so unprofessional and rude. At their price points the least they could do is get your order correct or offer to rectify it if when they mess it up. Also the chicharrón was extremely greasy and full of fat could not eat it. WONT BE RETURNING! Go to haverstraw instead.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat! The aroma alone was intoxicating – a warm, savory blend of spices that promised authentic Dominican flavors. I ordered the carnitas with maduro, and it was simply divine. The carnitas were incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection, with a crispy exterior that gave way to juicy, flavorful meat. The maduros were perfectly caramelized, sweet and soft, providing the perfect counterpoint to the savory carnitas. My wife’s yaroa was equally impressive, a hearty and satisfying dish packed with layers of flavor and texture that left her wanting more.
Every bite was a celebration of Dominican cuisine, and it’s clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their food. Beyond the incredible food, the service was exceptional. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. I thought that I’ll never find an authentic Latin/Spanish/ Dominican Restaurant in Rockland County. To my delight I was referred to Fuego and I was not disappointed! Friendly service and delicious food full of flavor with reasonable prices. They did not hold back on the seasoning and true flavor of the Caribbean! I highly recommend Fuego!

Delicious authentic Dominican Food! The staff & chef are so friendly and attentive. Clean establishment. The only thing missing was an ice cold presidente. 🙂 But honestly, everything was perfect. The pictures do it no justice. My husband had the mar y tierra accompanied with rice and tostones and I had the grilled chicken patacon. For dessert we had the flan. Everything was chef kiss.

I came in this morning to try their tres golpes breakfast special and left with a happy belly and a soup to go. I had their $4.99 special size while my husband got their standard size. The warm cafecito had a hint of cinnamon taste to it, delicious. Definitely will come back for lunch and dinner.

This review is a bit overdue. Fabio and the restaurant catered our baby shower several weeks ago. Fabio helped put together a diverse and delicious menu within our budget. I also found him to be a solid communicator during the process. The food arrived on time and was a hit with our guests. May the Lord bless this business. I’d definitely go with them again in the future.

Delicious food, but what really put this place over the top for me was the excellent service. I asked lots of questions and they were all answered despite it getting busy. The staff even let one of the customers go behind the counter to see what “charcoal chicken” is, which is a type of rotisserie chicken, but cooked over charcoal. I will definitely be back.
