Why is Levant restaurant permanently closed? | Winchester, KY

Roberta Newell liked Levant and I agree. I think the majority population in this town just prefers typical fast food fare.

The food is outstanding!! It’s a refreshing change from deep fried foods that Winchester normally offers. I highly recommend trying levant if you haven’t! I recommend the mixed grilled platter if you’re interested in trying different meats! The chicken Shawarma sandwich with fries and garlic sauce is really good to! The dessert selection is great as well! I’ve tried baklava, orange phyllo cake and the Dubai Strawberry cup! All are so good!

The service is wonderful! It’s very welcoming.. which is hard to find in customer service today!

The restaurant itself is also very comfortable and very clean. I love the decor, it’s very bright and the music is peaceful. I can dine in here, leaving more relaxed than I was going in.

I am loving the new plates. The bowls portions were very small for the prices you paid. The plates have very nice portions. The food is full of flavor, its much better now than in the past. I was done eating here until I saw the plates. I am so glad you revamped the food items. This is definitely a huge plus for the business. I will be back soon!

Tried this restaurant based on the reviews and our desire to get a healthy meal while in the area on vacation. Food was decent–nothing to write home about–but the service, while cordial enough, did not make you feel welcome or want to come back. The restaurant itself could use a lot more character, as it is very bland and does not make you want to come back for the feel. Overall, okay, but not something we would return to.

Great gem here in Winchester! I’ve came here before for the food and it is like Chipotle but for Mediterranean food! And now they have the Dubai chocolate and strawberry cups which made a great late night snack.

We have been here twice in the past month. On the first visit, our food was excellent; however, two people felt ill after eating the Chicken Shawarma wraps to go. Yesterday, we ordered carry-out.. I tried the Beef bowl and grape leaves. The grape leaves were the worst ever, with cold, crunchy, hard ice. The beef was so overcooked and dry. I called them and left a message about our concern about the quality of the food, and that they are about to lose a customer. I haven’t heard back after 24 hours, so here is my post. We will not be going back. We love Middle Eastern cooking, but this is by far the worst we have had. I was hoping someone would call us back and maybe explain how it was an off day or that the head cook quit. Nope. I recommend driving right by

I got my order to go. But, the food was delectable. It had the right balance of herbs and seasoning. Very very satisfied.

The chicken swarma bowl was delicious. I got the garlic sauce on the side because I was afraid it would be too much but it was just right. Delicious blend of fresh veggies and delicious chicken and rice. I’ll be back early and often.

A Jedi’s Feast at Levant Mediterranean Grill – Falafel Wrap & Dubai Chocolate Delight

Mmm… at Levant Mediterranean Grill, dined I did. Ordered the Falafel sandwich wrap, and humongous it was—fit for a Jedi warrior after battle. Crispy on the outside, tender within, the falafel was seasoned with the balance of the Force. Wrapped in warm flatbread with fresh toppings, this meal was delicious, truly.

To the dark side of dessert, I turned—the Dubai Chocolate. Rich… indulgent… the kind of sweetness that lingers like a vision through the Force. Yum, it was.

Hmmm… the staff? Friendly, they were. Quick service, too. Barely had I placed my order when, like a lightsaber ignition, it was ready before me.

Seek the best falafel wrap? Or crave a Mediterranean dessert that’s strong with flavor? Levant Mediterranean Grill—recommend it, I must.

We ate at Levant for the first time today. We had been warned that the food was just fair for Mediterranean style food but we decided to try it anyway. The service was very good and friendly. Sadly, we were disappointed by the falafel which tasted like it had been fried several hours earlier and then refrigerated. The salad that came with the falafel bowl was ok but too much rice. Maybe they could add some kale or other greens. The hummus was excellent and was the highlight of our dinner but the pita we were served was cold, which would never happen in Ramallah. Shukran for the delicious hummus!
