Ordered halibut and chips, for take out, delicious. I can honestly say it was the best piece of fish I’ve ever had. Delicious! The new surrounds look nice and the counter service was great, too. Thank you, had been since December .

First of all I want to thank for such nice and welcoming vibe.
1. The portioning for the Halibut fish with chips was sooo good. This is how much food I expect when I’m getting an order or fish and chips.
2. Service was 11/10 for sure!
3. The atmosphere was very lively and good enough to enjoy the food.
Overall I’ll visit there anyday!

This is a very traditional little hole in the wall restaurant.
The staff were very positive and attentive.
The wooden bench seating with a thin cushion was uncomfortable after about 5 minutes of sitting.
My order of fish and chips came quickly. It looked tasty. The fish tasted good and the batter was good. The tartar sauce was very sweet. The fish by itself was very good. I may have gotten a bone from the haddock, something in the fish or its batter had given me a small cut on my tongue.
I had asked for my chips to be crispy, they looked great. However they tasted smokey / burnt. I ate most of them, so it was not too bad.
The staff made a fresh pot of coffee when I asked for a cup. It did not taste the greatest, it reminds me of the coffee made with water from old pipes.
It was interesting to eat here. I had takeout from here 15 years ago and it was also okay if I remember.

Visiting Olde London Fish and Chips was such a wonderful experience yesterday. I was in London and decided to check out this well known restaurant. I’m originally from Nova Scotia so I’m super picky when it comes to seafood. They served up a Haddock dinner that was nothing less than spectacular. Portion size was good, freshness was over the top fabulous and the batter was light and thin. WOW The server Adele was an added bonus. She made us feel welcome and a valued customer, with smiles and a good sense of humour, she was the perfect hostess. I will be going back WHENEVER I’m in London. BRAVO!!!!

If you live in London and haven’t been here yet, you are missing out on a hidden gem. This is the only place I trust to get fish and chips. They do it right every single time. Their quality consistency is off the charts.
Amazing customer service, super friendly staff that are always smiling and happy. I always feel like a valued customer when I walk in, even just for pick-up. They have lots of promo deals too (Wednesdays is Senior’s Day).

Great food. Also had the two-piece halibut dinner that came with fries and coleslaw. I liked their vinaigrette style coleslaw. I would’ve given 5-stars but I found like either a black thread or hair. Nevertheless, this is still my family’s Friday go-to place for fish & chips.

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! The batter was nice and crispy the halibut was flaky. Scallops melt in you’re mouth. The food wasn’t greasy or oily just perfection. Ended lunch off with a banana cream pie. One of the best fish and chips spot I’ve had in a really long time.

This is still my go to place for fish and chips, as it’s the best my wife and I have had in London. However, I have noticed that the last few times the fish has been very greasy. Not sure if they have new cooks or not, but you can tell there is a difference. It definitely is the oil temperature not being high enough and the batter soaking up the grease. Hopefully this quality control issue gets resolved, as we really enjoy eating here.
