The pad thai the the best I’ve had in Seattle. The pineapple rice at a three star heat had a lovely mouth numbing spice. The fresh chicken lettuce wraps, they have you make at the table. I highly recommend asking for an extra serving of the cucumber salad if you get that, since it is delicious and there is a LOT more chicken than salad to stuff the wraps with.
The fried rice is a crazy amount of food. Awesome value, and the smell of the golden rice is just magical.
Service was friendly and prompt, even though we were in there 10 pm on a Friday.
I’ll be by again. What an awesome place.

Lowkey Thai spot with a simple vibe. I tried the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Kee Mao, and a few curries are decent, but nothing special. The Kao Soi was the highlight, rich, flavorful, and comforting. Chicken satay had good flavor but was a bit dry. Curry puffs were also dry and could really use a dipping sauce. The Thai green tea was tasty, but too much ice. Service was good. They recently raised their prices, which feels a bit steep for the quality. Not sure how authentic the dishes are overall.

Extremely friendly and efficient service. Food was also delicious – chicken kee mao and pad see ew were fantastic. Only reason for 4 stars is the food isn’t very spicy. Ordered a 5/5 spicy and it felt more like a mild/maybe medium spice level.

This Thai restaurant was pleasant. Very quiet on a Sunday with one server but we never had to wait long and our overall service was great. Everything was delicious with special emphasis on the curries and soups. Will definitely return when in the area.

We arrived at 1pm and the place had tons of seating, the service was very friendly and fast, the food is delicious and they ask you how hot to make your food on a scale of 1-5. The green papaya salad was a greater starter for our group and we all enjoyed noodle dishes.

These guys do a significant amount of business through take-out, which definitely affected our evening.
We were seated immediately during the Sunday dinner rush and served water immediately. Three people were waiting for takeout orders and there was a flow of people coming in during the 80-90 minutes we were there. After a chunk of time, our order was taken but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed because it took a good amount of time for appetizers to come out. We needed to ask for water refills as well. The server apologized when we received our apps, indicating that this service was atypical and she knew we waited too long. When it comes to the apps (fresh rolls, chicken satay and grilled pork), the sauces were delightful and it is very clear that the kitchen generally knows what they are doing. The shrimp in the fresh rolls and my curry were overcooked however, and the chicken also was overcooked slightly. We also shared a papaya salad, and the flavor profile was off – too much bitter and not enough sour/tart as I’ve had in the past.
I am still giving Maa Kiin 4 stars because this feels like an off night for them – either they are short staffed or/and they have new people in the kitchen that aren’t closely watching the proteins when they cook. The prep chef is on point with sauces, however, indicating there is the likelihood of a great experience in the future. I suspect coming at another time would garnish a 5 star review, and I will not hesitate to do so next time I am in the area! Definitely give them a shot, but maybe reconsider dining in if it is a weekend!

The Thai Tea cocktail was so yummy! Legit like a good Thai tea with rum! The panang curry was flavorful and delicious! Reasonable prices as well!

Ordered the kao soi and Thai green tea, definitely recommended the kao soi (came with a small side of chili oil and pickled mustard greens) it was my first time having it, it’s a lil sweet with a hint of curry taste maybe and coconut I think. The Thai green tea is less fragrant than the one I’ve tried at Coffeeholic, with a different taste too. Service was simple and good lol, just taking our orders and giving the check. For our 2 dishes and a drink, the total was only $38 before tip which was a lil surprising but not complaining lol. Seating is interesting, there’s a decent amount and a wall to separate the two sides. Definitely would recommend to a friend and coming back another time. Kao soi came with a chicken leg, fried chicken pieces, noodles, raw onion, green onion, I think some kind of wonton strips…? Probably wrong. I HATE raw onion but it actually goes so well with it decent menu size, good atmosphere, drink filled to brim

Lovely dinner. We had the Kao Soi, Pad see ew, and Panang curry. All very very good. The owner said the Kao Soi is a traditional dish of her hometown. Honestly, this was as good or better than any Thai restaurant around.

The wide noodles in Pad See Ew were all chopped up, you could hardly distinguish the bits of noodles from the chicken. It also lacked flavor, perhaps missing more oyster sauce. The Fresh Rolls had a tiny piece of shrimp, too much carrot. Wish I could get my money back. Also, pick up took a while, despite not many people. But I wouldn’t have minded if it was delicious. Not ordering from here again.
