Food is stupidly priced for the portion size.
Kebab has been chucked straight in the bin along with everything else. Curry sauce didn’t taste nothing like it. Deffo will not be going back. Barwell chippy tho best one around!!

The prices are expensive, the food portions are small. A bag of chips (almost cone sized) and single sausage is almost £6. The glass heated cabinet that holds the food warm has minimal food ready, so some foods are reheated in the microwave in front of you. I’ve used the place twice which was once too many. Local or not, I’m travelling elsewhere.

I’ve just eaten the best fish, chips and mushy peas that I’ve had in a long long time. My Carer fetched them for me it was pot luck to where she went too , it had to be one that was enroute to coming back to me. It took them about 20mins to get them back to me, but all 3 components were piping hot, absolutely delicious . I know everything has gone up in price but these were worth every penny. I was so happy I rang up and told them . They’ve made my day.

This is my local chippy and as a result I go there fairly regularly. Part of me likes that they cook fish to order, but the “5 minutes for fish, is that ok?” inevitably becomes 10 minutes. You get the impression that this is because they care about the standard of the food, but at the same time you also feel like you’ve walked in on a family argument that had been put on hold for the sake of appearances.
One thing I will say though, they do good batter, and that’s compared to other local chip shops with much better reputations. I guess the other places employ people who smile.

Not the best. The fish lacked flavour and was dry. The batter was not light and crispy. We did get given loads of chips for their portion size. There were lots of people queuing but we won’t go again. It was ok. We have had better.

When you see the server warming a large sausage up in a microwave for another customer didn’t fill me with much confidence…. We made a large order 4 cod and chips, roe, sausage mushy peas and 2 curry sauces and one small battered sausages, the mushy peas weren’t mushy at all and we’re one of the most disgusting I’ve ever tried, the fish was tasty but very cold, chips quite tasty however which saved it from just a ⭐
