I have been on the hunt for good dumplings since visiting Toronto and I have finally found them. We had heard that the food at Lakeside was amazing so we finally made our way over last weekend. It’s a cute little building tucked into a corner, right next to an ice cream place. Although small, there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. The parking lot is small and I’m assuming wheen both businesses get busy, it may be difficult to find parking. We ordered dumplings, pork fried rice, curry puffs and a noodle dish that I can’t remember the name. The dumplings were the star of the show with a nice thin wonton and plenty of meat. The curry puff was also amazing. I didn’t care for the pork fried rice but it was decent, and the noodle dish was VERY good. Overall everything was excellent and we’ll definitely go back again.

You just have to go here. It’s a hole in the wall but there isn’t a wall or hole, it’s a family run joint with a small dining area and food that makes you feel joy when eating it. Zero pretension. No gimmicks. Just excellent food in a bewildering variety that seems out of place, but is endearingly welcome. The satay is crispy and juicy, the fresh rolls are available with a variety of meats. Their pho is heartwarming and delicious, and the chefs meal, I had the pineapple and cashew with fried pork belly, reminded me of some of the more extensive efforts of cooking my mother made. My partner loves their crab Rangoon and fried pork dumplings and each time we go we end up buying more food to go so we can enjoy some later.
This is a place most would drive by and not give a second look. I did that for years. I was missing out and regret it.

I got the dinner combo with pork fried rice, spring rolls and chicken satay. The chicken pieces were huge! The spring rolls were hot and crispy. The level 3 spice on the fried rice was great. I loved the fried shallots on top. Definitely going back again!

Food was ok, they also forgot my mango sticky rice and I had to drive back to pick it up which meant my food sat at home for close to an hour getting cold before I was able to eat my very late lunch.
I think the pad thai was a let down as it didn’t taste like anything. Flavor was really lacking.
The curry, curry puff, crab rangoon, and spring rolls tasted good.
Chicken skewers were a bit dry.
Thai chicken tasted like sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese takeout spot, but it was one of our favorites.
Mango sticky rice was good but needed more coconut milk.

Looking for a place to eat during a rainy stay at Jellystone, we found this place about a half mile away. Really cute place, food was amazing! We started with the fresh rolls, delicious and fresh tasting. I had the Thai Leaf Basil with sliced chicken. The chicken was cooked perfect. My wife had the Orange chicken. She must have said five times how good it was. As someone who lives Thai food, it’s not always easy finding a winner. This place deserves the high ratings it is receiving.

I wasn’t sure if this little Thai place was a just mirage playing on my love for Thai food, located between Milton three ponds, nestled between a couple of the ponds. With no expectations, given its location, this small Thai place offers some exquisite “home cooked” food. The egg rolls were on point and the rest of it hit the spot. If you’re in the Milton area or even just making your way up to the white mountain range, lakeside Thai isn’t so far off of the beaten track that you need to plan a seperate trip but just far enough to where you feel like it’s your very own little restaurant. If you’re passing through or living in the area this is a must!
Thank you for the great service and delicious food lakeside Thai! You’ll be seeing a lot more of me this winter!

A nice little dine-in joint tucked away in middle of the Milton Three Ponds area. Just opened in July 2022. The summer rolls were excellent, the Larb was flavorful, and the curry puffs, dumplings, and Basil Pork were solid. Friendly service. A nice addition to the area. And kudos to the owners for trying to grow their own lemongrass and spices!
