Lovely French bakery with amazing lattes and delicious ham and cheese and baguette! I will definitely go back. I would love to try his chocolate which he’s renowned for and the macaroons looked really good too! You wouldn’t want to miss out on this outstanding pastry chef’s creations!

While the pastry I had was the best I’ve ever tasted…my FAVORITE thing about my experience was meeting the owner, celebrity pastry chef, Christophe Rull. He has every reason to have a big ego with all he has accomplished, and yet he remains humble and kind.
He has a very jovial and fun personality, great sense of humor, and I got to hear his story of how he came to the U.S. and worked his way up to the top of some of the most famous establishments, even landing a show on Netflix…and finally being able to open his own patisserie with his name on it. I love a good story of how it all came about!
They offer other options beyond pastries and all the staff are super kind.
If you love supporting local businesses, and if you enjoy French delicacies and hearing a friendly “Bonjour” when you walk in the door…
I highly recommend stopping by.

This place is great. Me, who lives in France, think that here they have one of the best croissant I ever taste! There baguettes are a pick of perfection. I love the croûtons, end of the baguettes, and they are so good on thèse!

I drove to San Marcos to try this bakery. I saw this on Instagram. I got a box to go. Christoph packed it himself. Tried the butter crossiants, which I made sandwiches. So light, flakey and delicious. Best I tried in San Diego County.
Also got a blueberry muffin and banana muffin. Just perfect.
Definitely will be back.

Fabulous food…very thoughtfully prepared sandwiches. Rich but just the right size so you’re not overwhelmed. Best, most delectable macarons since Paris.

I had a brie + prosciutto sandwich that transported me to France. The pastries were unreal – I don’t know the names, but I had a croissant with berries on top. Extremely tasty.
I’ll be back often! I thought I would have to go back to France to eat this well, but I’m glad to have such an amazing store so close to home!

I’m a major foodie. I’ve traveled all over Europe focusing on these types of treats! I was really looking forward to this, as we desperately need a good patisserie in North County. It was only ok for me. Baked goods (croissants and brioche) were very small, though priced ok, for their size.
This was after their first week opened, so I’ll give it another shot in the future, but I have a feeling I’ll be sticking to the other spots downtown or in bird rock.
Croissant was ok, better as it was a fresh and warm. Tried one the next day and it wasn’t up to par. The brioche bites were just ok. Lacked real flavor.

Such qualify. It starts with Christophe and his lovely wife. Charming shop and wow!!! Such delicious food. Haven’t had a croissant like that since Paris.
How lucky are we to have this special shop in San Marcos. Hopefully not a well kept secret for long.

Quaint atmosphere, the pastries we ordered tasted great, and reasonably priced. My only reason for four stars is the size of the pastries are smaller than I expected. In my picture the cinnamon roll is smaller than the muffin. And the sandwich croissant are on square smaller croissants. Again, great tasting food and pleasant service so I’ll go again.
