N&J was an unexpected find for dinner last night. We enjoy Mediterranean food and were definitely not disappointed. Valentine’s Day dinner at 6 p.m. will generally have you waiting an hour if you don’t make reservations, but we weren’t interested in a long wait, so as we drove around and noticed that the parking lot was busy but not packed, we decided to check out something new. Absolutely the best decision! We had no wait to get in. The service was great. The food was amazing, and if you’re a really big eater, it should fill you up. We both brought half or more of our meals home, so will get to enjoy the meal again. The prices are very reasonable, and if you’re there before 6 p.m., they have reduced prices on appetizers. If you like Meddy’s and haven’t tried N&J, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. I was expecting the background music to have a Mediterranean flair, but it was American 80’s and 90’s for the most part. Just an observation. Would definitely go back!!

We knew we couldn’t go wrong with a trusted name such as N&J: one that’s been established in Wichita for 30+ years. Our experience was great! The food came out fast and it was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and perfect for a quiet date night out.

I was told this place was better than Meddy’s, but honestly, I left disappointed.

The grape leaves were underwhelming — no filling, no meat, and for $8 you only get four, all different sizes. The meat pies tasted more like dough with a meatball inside. While they were seasoned well, the balance was way off.

The only highlight was the hummus rich, flavorful, and a generous portion. But overall, Meddy’s still has my vote any day of the week.

Just tried N&Js new location and it did not disappoint! I love to get the gyros and the grape leaves. It hits the spot every time. No one else beats their pita bread and hummus, it is awesome! The service was great, we got seated right away and the food was so worth it! This place has great vibes, I will definitely be coming back. This is my go-to place for middle eastern cuisine.

I really want to love the west N&Js as much as I love their OG out east. I do know they just opened this location and it will take time to get things sorted. I do have to say that I am really disappointed in some of the food items I received in my order. The grape leaves were a huge disappointment for $8.00 (serving size of 4). There was no stuffing and really not a lot of flavor. My other complaint is the gyro that by itself is $10.00. It had hardly any meat and for the price of the food it just doesn’t add up. The hummus and veggie tray were amazing and huge portions! I have high expectations as I have had these items at the other location with no issues. I will try this location out again but the first experience is underwhelming.

I was really disappointed with our experience. The portion sizes were incredibly small for the price we paid. It honestly felt like we were charged full entrée prices for appetizer-sized plates. For what we spent, I expected generous servings and better overall value, but it simply wasn’t up to par.

To make matters worse, when our food was brought out, our waiter’s thumb was visibly in the hummus on the plate. That completely ruined the experience. It was unhygienic and unacceptable, and it made us question the restaurant’s food handling standards.

Between the overpriced, underwhelming portions and the lack of basic sanitation, this was not an experience I would recommend. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements.

I was recently able to finally try the West Wichita location and it was delicious! Of course we started our order with humus and pita bread. As always, its the best! I tried grape leaves for the first time and the were so, so good! I didn’t know what I’d been missing out on. For my drink I ordered the Habibi-Biscus and it was so refreshing, I find myself craving it! For my entree I ordered the garlic chicken sandwich- I LOVE garlic and this sandwich delivered. It was so flavorful. If you prefer a milder flavor, I’d go with the chicken shawarma. Our server was so sweet and served us quickly. I can’t wait to go back without the children and sit at the beautiful bar! I’m sad I live out of town and can’t get N&J’s whenever I have a craving. For now I’ll drool over the Facebook posts until I can come back.

I wanted to like this place. My first time was a disappointment. Cabbage rolls meh. Meat pies all dough and tasted like flour.
I tried again and was again a disappointment. I had the Chicken and rice soup and tabouli. Tabouli all parsley with very little tomatoes (I had to search for them) and dry with just a touch of lemon. My friend had beef kabobs and she couldn’t cut them without chasing plate.
Portions are large and the server was spectacular!
Won’t return.

I thought the West location was just as good or maybe better than the original location but yesterday I ordered a hummus shawarma to go.. paid an extra dollar for the lamb and then received a small container with hardly any hummus and lots of red onions too. Normally it’s a large container with a great portion but this was pitiful. Everything tastes fantastic, well the grape leaves were kind of different than normal, much more dry but still delicious.

I’ve been here several times and the food has always been very flavorful and delicious. My favorites are the schwarma and the kebabs. The waitstaff has been attentive and service quick. Went on a Saturday evening around 630 and no waiting for a table so that’s a nice bonus on top of the great food.
