Ordered a smash burger with an extra patty, but came out missing the ext patty. Too busy to ask for it, place is packed.
The Pattie’s were good, and the fries were cooked well.
Also got the Big Tex burger, cooked perfectly! The tomato, bacon and sauce were on point. Great taste. Fries again were good.
Saw someone with onion rings and they said they were fantastic, if I’m back I’ll get those.
First time we went, got pulled pork nachos which are something I order whenever they’re on the menu so I’ve had a lot. They were disappointing, just really mediocre. Not much flavor. (They really should to add pickled red onion!) Brussel sprouts were great. I said I would come back and order something different but I wouldn’t order that again. Husband said his beer was just OK. Second time we got cheeseburgers and we both disliked them, said they were mediocre at best and were just really bland. Pretty pricey for just a barely OK burger. Fries are very unimpressive. Tx burger down the road better.
So tonight I got the ribeye because my son wanted to try the place out. I’m not being the least bit dramatic when I say it’s the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. It was so gross that I spit it out, my teenager who also tried it and refused to eat it. I ordered a medium, not medium rare- but it came to me rare. The butter that they put on top wasn’t even trying to melt. The middle was still pretty bloody, most of it was all raw, but you could tell that their grill cooks very unevenly or was it placed in a poor spot due to a few areas only on one side being over cooked. The edges on one side were actually almost well done, no pink left. I ate that part, and there was no taste at all, besides the taste of cheap steak. It really tasted like the nastiest, sickest cheapest cow possible. They need to change where they get their steaks. And I don’t think it was seasoned even with salt and pepper. Of course we never had a server come back to the table after our food was dropped off, so I didn’t even bother complaining because I didn’t want to walk my plate back up to the counter. I always pay for food even when I don’t like it, especially at small businesses. So I didn’t want to complain just to be given a refund. I would rather they just improve. If anyone had come and asked how my food was I would’ve told the truth.
My son said his burger was just mediocre, as I warned him it would be. He said the meat was overcooked and flavorless. Their tea was also gross and the sweet tea wasn’t very sweet. The brussels sprouts were good again, and the potatoes were just fine. Customer service was OK the first time, someone actually checked on us while we were eating and offered refills and another margarita. The second time customer service was terrible (They were busier) and I wasn’t given any water with my margarita (which should always be offered when you’re ordering food) and when our food was dropped off, I didn’t even get a chance to ask for some water and she didn’t ask me if I wanted another margarita either (why wouldn’t they be trying to make more sales?). I didn’t want to stand in line to get a glass of water while my food sat there getting cold, so I just had my meal without anything to drink. We didn’t see another employee come by until we were well passed done and had been sitting there for a while, listening to music.
The last time customer service was just OK initially. They are polite at the register, but they don’t really seem to care about being very warm and welcoming , and they really don’t give a crap about you after they give you your food. They really need traditional servers who earn their tips by providing good customer service and not who get tipped at the register while ordering and then doing nothing else for you besides a quick food drop off. Not having anyone come by to see if you need anything while you’re eating is not cool and their prices are in line with somewhere that would have full service.
I didn’t want to stop eating.
Will definitely be coming back!
