Wow, I’m here now. I just took the first sip of my Americana… Fantastic! I really dig the bohemian vibe and open kitchen concept. They appear to have live music at times, unfortunately not this morning. The woman operating the cash register has some sort of cool slavic accent (I guess it could be Albanian, which is not actually Slavic but Illyrian). I got the Vegan burrito, wait a moment I am going to take my first bite. The taste is great, it is not as hot as I would generally expect from burrito and it is a little smaller than usual as well. There is a large vegetarian selection and they offer fresh juices. They open doors at 7:30 but don’t have the full menu available until 8. There is a beautiful outdoor sitting area for when it’s warm. It is surrounded by various potted plants, someone involved with the business obviously has a green thumb. This restaurant is a couple blocks off the main strip of Ashland near the co-op. So it’s not as busy as some of the spots right in the center of the action. This place definitely matches what I look for, and I think you may like it too.

If you need a place to feel comfortable, this is the place: ). We went for coffee only 2 months ago, having recently retired here. The coffee was perfect, but the endless supply of gastonimocal treats was a welcome surprise. Fritattas to cinnamon rolls (yumm) They always have customers, but handle them efficiently & the staff are so nice, you don’t ever feel either rushed or waiting long. Been there for some music too… vibe was cool. It’s been a weekly stop ever since we found this charming gem. Cheers

This place is a hidden gem… They have great baked goods delicious breakfast options, and amazingly fresh squeeze juices. The patio is quite charming with wonderful ambience… this is off the tourist radar so most of the patrons are locals. The staff is very friendly, the food comes out quickly and it is dog friendly.

A wonderful cafe with small town rustic vibes. The food and warm beverages warm the soul. Got to enjoy some live jazz music while eating. They have live music every Saturday morning from 10:30 to 12:30pm. An Ashland gem that everyone should experience.

I got the huevos rancheros and was so excited to eat it that I couldn’t wait to take a picture first. Absolutely delicious!! Every element of the meal was tasty and elegantly prepared. We were also lucky with our timing (Saturday morning) to experience some lovely live music. Very glad our host recommended this place, and now we wish to pass the recommendation on to others

Eclectic cozy cafe set back off the main drag of downtown. Frequently the place draws local jazz artists and various musicians. Serving baked goods to small made to order foods to juices and smoothies. Great variety and vegan or vegetarian friendly.

Neighborhood fixture, stopped by a few times in the last two years. Reminds me of Santa Fe or Taos back in the day. They have the best bagels in Ashland. I think if they were interested in making money they could crank out bagels and provide for all of Southern Oregon. Their stuffed bagels are good but just the plain bagel is the best for me, great chew and flavor. The thing is… I don’t think the owner is really interested in money. I think he paid off his mortgage, lives debt free, employs a handful of like minded people, lives to play music and talk with people on his funky little outdoor seating area. I don’t know any of this to be facts but this is what I have observed and surmised the last couple years. This is as opposite of a chain bakery/coffee shop as it gets. If this sounds like your kind of place I highly recommend, even if you are just passing through.
If you are in a hurry, uptight and crave the same-old same-old, this is not for you. Also, walk or ride your bike. Limited parking, A street through the “Railroad district” is the most congested in Ashland.
My favorite is the olive and cream cheese bagel.

There once was a man named magoo he liked to eat bagels and drink coffee too. He took his time to feel divine and ended up choking on a kazoo.
It was a good time this eternal thing.
The coffee was good and la baguette fresh and still warm.
merci pour les protéines supplémentaires pour me garder

Cozy cafe with a wide selection of coffee, juices, and smoothies, as well as pastries and breakfast-y foods.
There are regular wonderful music performances.
Everything is good, though don’t get the Huevos Rancheros if you’re expecting Huevos Rancheros – seems we’re too far north for that.
