Perfect spot on Hwy 24 in Beloit. Family run very authentic Mexican food. Thin crispy chips and tasty salsa. We ordered the famous arroz con carne and rancher’s enchiladas and were not disappointed. A fixture in this community for 20 years, this place brings small town vibes with huge flavor and atmosphere! Ole!

El Puerto Mexican Restaurant is a great place to go for authentic Mexican food. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is delicious. I especially enjoyed their chips and salsa, which were some of the best I’ve had.
The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so you’re sure to find something you’ll like. I had a hard shell taco with beans and rice, and it was fantastic! The taco was perfectly crispy, and the fillings were flavorful and well-seasoned. The portion sizes are also generous, so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.
Overall, I had a great experience at El Puerto Mexican Restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Mexican meal.

We were staying at the motel right next door and came here for dinner. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Fast service and delicious food with great portions! Definitely recommend and would eat here all the time if we lived in the area!

The bean dip, chips, and salsa are the best in north central Kansas. Service is always hometown friendly! The serving sizes are just right, prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious! It’s a hidden treasure!

The food was great, and the waiter did great job. My family really really liked the food and the prices were good delicately stop back again.

I can’t give this place zero stars, so one will have to suffice. Literally, nothing was good about this restaurant. We had to look for someone to seat us, the server was sparce and when around, acted terrified of us. The food was HORRIBLE (old, overcooked shrimp, I had to saw through my Chile relleno), they don’t have any drinks except what you could buy at the local grocery (no mixed drinks or margaritas; the bottled drinks were all 3.2) The building itself was ran down. It felt like we shouldn’t be there because it seemed like it was abandoned. And the prices are extremely high (for a family of 4 to eat off their “specials menu” it was still $50).

Would not recommend. Awful food and unclean/rundown. The place looks as if it was abandoned. I ordered a taco salad and it came out with soggy lettuce in a soupy fried taco bowl. The steak looked and tasted as if it was warmed up in a microwave.
