I don’t even know how it classifies as Mexican food. Everything they serve is TERRIBLE. Joe T’s is also terrible. I feel like people overrate the food bc the atmosphere is so cute. I’ll give them that. But I would never voluntarily choose to eat here or Joe T’s. And also the chairs are terrible too. Theyre like wicker or rattan and you can’t easily get in and out of them to get up. They should have replaced them a long time ago. Theyre ugly too. Bottom line: If I want good food I’ll go to Esperanza’s instead

It was so busy, probably 100 people waiting outside around 6:00 pm no way that we will wait that long! Still it was awesome to drive from Corinth and McKinney all the way there and know that people agree with us that food must be excellent!

La Puertita is an amazing venue which has been restored with authentic Mexican decor.
On May 18, 2025 my husband and I had a wedding Reception and were assisted by Andrea Ward. The table arrangements were discussed and it was also agreed that round tablecloths would be provided. The tablecloths were dropped off nice and pressed at the main office as instructed.
On the day of the recepcion my Decorator arrived at the venue (La Puertita) to find the table arrangement was not as dicussed, wrinkled tablecloths and no event coordinador. After making a phone call one of the managers showed up with one person as backup.
Gratuity is automaticlly applied, but in this case wasn’t earned!

We had my great aunts celebration of life here. The image is beautiful, quiet, and the perfect size for our intimate but full affair. About 100 people with a buffet and sit down with 10 round tables, and it was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive but unintrusive. Highly recommend them for any kind of intimate affair. There is a small parking lot on the side of the chapel as well for parking in case the large lots are full.
