This is a fantastic restaurant and hotel! My wife and perform our acoustic duo “The Masons band” here and the atmosphere is wonderful. We had a great server named “Cee Cee” who really went above and beyond with professional customer service. I highly recommend stoping in!

This restaurant is attached to the MC autograph hotel. As I travel for a living and try many of the hotels restaurants this by far is one of the best. I had breakfast here every single morning and it was just simply good food, done classically, done well. I’d ordered the scrambled eggs with mashed potatoes and bacon with a side of gluten-free toast. They do have a nice gluten-free toast here. They were very busy for breakfast, but they made sure that I was attended to. Their coffee is delicious. That’s a statement because many hotels have weak coffee and this was strong and hit the spot. The manager was helping serve because they were so busy, but no one was neglected. Needless to say, I left happy and had breakfast every single morning there. Special mention for the mashed potatoes they were so crispy on the outside and nice and moist on the inside. The bacon was thick and applewood smoked. Whether staying at the hotel or in the town and want a really nice breakfast, stop here you won’t regret it.

I had a great experience. This was my second time visiting the restaurant. The first was for lunch, where I had a fantastic meal. This time, I brought the whole family —my in-laws, kids, and a couple of friends —and we had a blast. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Truly a gem in Montclair. The atmosphere was great, too, thanks to the restaurant’s design and spaciousness. I’m not sure if it’s my age, but sitting in cramped spaces with tables and people right next to me and servers bumping into my chair every 30 seconds isn’t the experience I’m looking for anymore. Allegory provides you with the complete opposite experience, with comfortable, spacious seating. This is my new go-to spot. Can’t wait to check out the dinner option. I’m sure it’s going to be awesome.

One of the best local destinations for girl’s night out! We had such a fun Galentine’s Day experience and can’t wait to come back for their next event. The surf & turf was made to perfection, dessert duo was decadent, and cocktails were so tasty. Highly recommend Allegory for your next girl’s night!

Great Service and Ambience..! We are here for a special event (the Restaurant’s Chef was taking part in Gordon Ramsey’s Cooking Show).
Most of the dishes we tried were perfectly cooked. There was one issue with the Steak that we ordered, but the Manager was pretty good about resolving it as quickly as possible, and gave us a nice discount to compensate for that.

Made the mistake of not signing my own bill and trusting the staff to add the charge to my room at the MC Hotel – upon checkout, when I received the “receipt” there was a 100% tip on a $18 drink and my name forged to the bill. Not a great look, Allegory.

First time visiting after hearing about the place from some friends. Music was not too loud so was able to enjoy a nice conversation. If Diego is working make sure to ask for the espresso martini, he makes the best I have experienced.
