We were really looking forward to this experience but were severely disappointed. We booked the luncheon service. It’s worth noting that you cannot pick your seats when booking the train- this is fine, but my main issue is that your viewing experience depends quite heavily on where you are seated in the train. We were seated on the opposite of the seaside (we were on the right side facing inland). All of the beautiful scenic views were on the opposite side of the train, sans one point at the very end of the ride where we paused on a bridge. We had thought that perhaps the train was going to turn around on the way back so we could see the water on the return trip, but that is not the case. 90% of our views were of overgrown weeds and the backs of people’s homes. Definitely not the experience that was advertised. The food was also not worth the price at all. We had a three course lunch- tomato soup to start, with the main course being a salmon salad for me and a Caesar wrap for my husband. The soup tasted like warm marinara. My salmon was dry and bland. My husband noted that his wrap was bland as well. The dessert course was the best one- both our desserts (a lemon square and chocolate torte) were fine. I would be less harsh on the food if it weren’t so expensive. It definitely was not worth the price at all. Honestly it felt like eating lunch on an Amtrak train. The entire ride, the door to the outside was open and there was nails-on-a-chalkboard screeching of the train interrupting the ambiance. It was really grating on our nerves. I feel bad leaving a low review but this was our honest experience. I would not recommend this to anyone visiting- save your money and just book a nice reservation at a restaurant on the waterfront instead. To the Grand Bellevue staff, the main issue (for me) could be resolved if you either a) allow people to select their seats either inland or seaside, and include a difference in the price, or b) note somewhere on your website that there is a difference in experience based on your seat.

We did the railway dining experience on the train which included the train ride and a full meal. There was ample parking. We got there. Guest information got us in the right direction without any problems. Our seat was already set up and Anastasia was there quickly to assist us at our table. The cheese and meat board appetizer was excellent as well as the drink menu. The lamb was cooked to perfection as well as the sea bass. For dessert. The flourless tart chocolate cake and the blueberry cheesecake was amazing as well. We only wish that the train ride was longer so that would get us relax and watch the scenery as we drove by. It was a little pricey but definitely worth the trip and the meal. Grateful special occasions or just a nice night out. We also had one with a murder mystery but we’d already gone to some of those and wanted more to relax and enjoy the ride.

We went to the mystery dinner and had a fabulous time. I recommend boarding early for the cocktail hour. Upon making your reservation you have a choice of adding on appetizers for an extra charge and trust me it is definitely worth it. I actually wished we had ordered more. There is no choice to order on day of arrival. I had ordered half dozen oysters on the half shell. They were delicious. The train has a full bar and great cocktail selections including wine and beer. The food quality was top notch. We had the steak and chicken. Steak was cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the crumble cake and blueberry cheesecake. The show was very entertaining. The train ride does not go very far. It’s pretty scenic passing by the water and nice houses. I highly recommend going and I’m excited I can go again soon as the theme is changing. If you are a party of two they do not seat you with strangers, which was great.

We had an incredible time celebrating our anniversary! Our server was very nice and attentive, the meal itself was divine, and the ride itself was very enjoyable. An incredible experience I would recommend to all my friends! (We didn’t get our server’s name, but she had beautiful red hair!)

We had an amazing time in the Holiday Train. The food was delicious and perfectly presented. I only wish that you could hear the holiday music playing.

My husband took us on the Bellevue Dinner Train for our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! I was skeptical that the food would be good since sometimes places don’t try as hard with the food when there’s heavy emphasis on decor or an ocean view. The food blew me away!

Amazing experience from start to finish!
The scenery was absolutely beautiful and made everything even more enjoyable. I had the Chilean sea bass—hands down the best I’ve ever had! My fiancé had the chicken and he really enjoyed it, too.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the oysters (just because of how they looked), but that’s more of a personal preference—you’re bound to run into that sometimes.
Our server was awesome—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Honestly, no complaints. We loved it so much that I’m already planning to come back with the in-laws. Can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed the festive atmosphere and delicious food! The train cars were all decked out for the holidays and there was soft, holiday music playing. Each of the 5 courses were fresh & delicious and gave you just enough. We did see some holiday lights out the windows but since it was dark it was hard to see any water views. We were there more for the holiday atmosphere so that didn’t matter to us.
