I can’t believe this place has been open all of this time and it’s my first time trying them out. Needless to say, it will NOT be the last. It’s extremely hard to find good soul food in the burbs, and I’m happy that I finally gave them a try. I had the individual meal, which comes with one meat & 2 sides and a cornbread muffin. I chose the fried wings (came with 4) and greens and Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious!! The wings were perfectly golden brown and fried just right. Crispy but still moist and delicious — not overly seasoned either, just right! (No feathers!! I can trust whoever is in that kitchen!) The sides were also good!! I asked for an additional side of yams to try but I wasn’t charged for that so I’ll just have to speak louder for that next time lol. You can tell there are a mix of cheeses used in the Mac (especially if you’re a cook yourself) and they work together in all of the best ways. Sometimes people make greens too acidic or too vinegar-ish… but not here! When I say everything was perfect, I mean it. There was a small wait (maybe 10 min) but it was hot and fresh, so I’ll take that any time. The cornbread muffins were delicious and moist.. not TOO sweet either. Lastly, the service — very pleasant all around. I went through the drive thru and was still greeted / treated with a smile. I LOVE that a soul food restaurant finally offers a drive thru!! Thank you for this lol — especially because parking is kind of limited with all of the other businesses right in that strip. I will have to try the fish and meatloaf next time, as well as maybe the cake! Overall 10/10 and I will go again.

Love love love this place! Believe it or not it is hard to find good soul food in the Southland. This place has been open for a year and clearly a hidden gem. I have them 5 stars because they deserve it! Latrice and her mom is super nice! Everything is so good! I don’t even like homemade banana pudding but I promise you this is the only one I will eat! The chicken, fish, and meatloaf is delicious. The Mac and Cheese is delicious! Perfect blend of cheeses. The sweet potatoes, dressing and greens are !!! I would recommend this place to everyone. 2 things stood out the most for me the service and consistency with how fresh and flavorful the food was. Absolutely delicious, and the owner is beyond sweet and hospitable! My husband and I ordered mac and cheese, meatloaf, and a red velvet cheesecake—every single bite was incredible. That cheese pull on the mac and cheese? Unreal.
Am I lactose intolerant? Yes.
Did I absolutely devour that mac and cheese anyway? Also yes.
Was it worth it? 10000%.
Will I be coming back for more? Without a doubt.

We stopped by at around lunch time on a Sunday did have to wait a little bit since they were fulfilling a bunch of orders before us, which is totally understandable! We stopped by without ordering ahead, but honestly, the short wait was nothing compared to the flavors we got in return.
This is a true family-owned business, run with love and care. There aren’t dozens of employees rushing orders out—just the owner and one other person in the back (at least from what we could see), putting their heart into every plate. So if there’s a little wait, trust me, it’s worth it. Places like this deserve all the support because they’re serving up more than just food—they’re serving passion, tradition, and soul. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Since I learned about this place it has been my go to for fresh fried catfish, macaroni, spheghetti and greens. The food is always fresh and delicious. I can’t say enough about the quality. My husband Jose always picks my call in order up for me and my daughter. Yesterday I had the pleasure of tasting their butter cookies and their turtle butter cookies. They were delicious and did not disappoint. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I only wish there were more cookies in the pack for price. On the bright side they do taste gourmet. I absolutely love this place

Tasty soul food and fast friendly service! We got the half chicken, catfish, macaroni & cheese, greens, green beans, and yams and meals come with cornbread. They also have a great selection of desserts, cakes and cookies. So yummy! They also have a drive thru. Check them out!

The Mrs. and I plan to visit the Bar next door but it was closed so we visited this location hoping for some good food. There was nothing standing out about the location except the food smelled great! We ordered our food and went home to eat. Once we got home…WOW! Everything was delicious. It tasted just like my grandmother’s food from my childhood and the potions were just right. If you’re looking for some good soul food look no further.

Everything was great, fish was fried fresh. I would just appreciate more greens than stems next time, but other than that A1! Also we had to have something sweet. Ordered two cakes, caramel and red velvet cheese cake and that red velvet is the best thing I have ever had. Definitely worth it.
