I thought I reviewed them already, seeing as I’ve been here often. This location is much bigger and more variety than the one on main street. They have a nice menu, and even breakfast ‘porridge’, which I’ve yet to try. They have spiced cake which another patron told me was what he comes for every time! They also have other cakes: red velvet, better than s*x, coconut, a sweet potato cheesecake, a pound cake too.. and buns. A nice variety of soda drinks, including ginger beer. The food is good. Oxtail, pepper steak, stew chicken, stew pork, fish, meatloaf… those are regular staples on the menu. All can come with rice and peas and ‘salad’ aka cabbage. Small, med, large.. great portions. Lady behind the register always nice and greets you kindly. I’ll have to get pictures next time!

They do not take pride in the cleanliness or appearance of their establishment. The food is old and slimey and when brought to their attention the blame is put on the customer for not telling them “before it is served”. How could a person know food is bad before it is served? They have no respect for their fellow human, who chose to try their food with hard earned money to support a black business in the community. It is so disappointing to not even be offered an apology let alone refund. Will never come here again, i feel like i donated money to a place that does not care or respect customers at a basic level. So extremely disappointing and i do not say this with any hate or malice in my heart, it is just the truth. I hope they can do better and i know people make mistakes sometimes so i sincerely wish them well and hope things change for the better.

I got pepper steak and white rice. My girl got curry chicken and rice and peas, beef patties also. . . Lackluster flavor on both main dishes. There was nothing pepper about the steak. Curry chicken was the same and mostly bones. Patties were decent. I can’t say i would go back there for food.
