Reviews
I also want to state that I have read many reviews from other people who have visited here, and not once has the owner or manager, reached out to address any of the negative issues with their customers, so I’m not expecting a call from anyone either.
I couldn’t decide on the hot or cold lobster roll, but I went with a meal of a warm lobster roll with seasoned lemon butter, Angie’s special sauce, and fries and soda ($13.99)–(although they should ditch the plastic soda cup since they should care more about ocean stewardship since it’s their livelihood). I also asked for the extra lobster meat ($3.99 extra) since I figured I’d need it since I actually wanted to be sure I could taste the lobster and not the roll. It was the correct decision as it was the perfect amt. although the roll itself wasn’t as long as I was hoping, but it was nicely butter toasted. Fries just average, special sauce very tasty, and drumroll please, the lobster roll was very tasty although not quite what I got in Maine, but heck, this is the Sonoran Desert and I was still delighted with the treat and the service at the window was smooth as was the entire ordering and processing. Very efficient drive-thru, so can’t rate “atmosphere.”
Fries also hot and fresh and perfect amount of salt!
Their energy drink has a nice berry flavor to it, doesnt taste like another other energy drink in my opinion and it has like 200mg of caffeine I think it says on the menu?
Overall it was quality food served fast and correctly and I was very happy with my experience! Would recommend and would go again
The only downside was the size of the rolls—they’re quite small for the price. Additionally, I wasn’t thrilled with the attitude of the girl at the window when I checked my bags to ensure all the rolls were accounted for before heading out. It’s understandable to double-check a large order of over $60, and I didn’t appreciate it.
Ever since Angie’s opened in Tempe, AZ I have been wanting to buy a lobster roll, however, 4 or so years in, I was never willing to make the drive. Finally today! They opened a new location by our home in Buckeye and you bet we would be there…so many expectations, yet it was underwhelming . Now let’s be objective here, the meat tasted good and yes! I know this is a cheap item compared to other rolls, however, the size was also comparable to the prize, where this roll was about half the size and meat as other I’ve eaten before. This was for sure a disappointment , please make sure to review the pics I’ve added. In addition to the lobster roll, my wife had the sw chicken sandwich with roasted green chilies and avocado, the meal is less then $6 which is a great price point, however, the sandwich is also smaller, I would order 2 of them instead of ordering a meal to get all the protein benefits and none of the junk from the fries, which were nothing special. Finally, my kid had the tenders, he said they tasted were good but they seemed overcooked, am I wrong? Plz judge yourself once you see the pic. All in we spent $24 and mostly it was my fault due to the lobster being $10. If you buy 3 or 4 sandwiches alone the total would be less then $15 maybe that’s a better option. We would definitely buy the chicken sandwich and try the burgers next since they are cheap but If you are in a rush and want something simple and clean and cheap to eat definitely consider Angie’s, their food tastes clean and doesn’t leave you feeling bloated, it is the right portion that will keep you going after lunch, just don’t expect to be wowed like we did. I hope this helps on your decision.
