What a find! Awesome service, eclectic and cozy atmosphere, and the food is wonderful. Wide range of entrees and prices. Topping it all off, the music was marvelous. A great evening. Good enough to write home about!

This hidden gem doesn’t look like much. But on a warm September day, the outdoor dining experience is exceptional for this little nook of Idaho. Where else can one be served by 14 and 15 year olds with smiles on their faces and a welcoming attitude?! Service was slow at the start but then picked up and didn’t disappoint. It’s difficult to describe the menu. Squeeze Inn offered everything from pasta to seafood to meats and even a Basque style dining experience. In the end our party of 3 was very satisfied with our drinks and food. We will return. Reservations highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful food! Very quirky place and fun! The owner greeted us and was very helpful with answering questions about the menu. You have to check out the art/sculpture garden. There was a wonderful fire inside that helped with the chill from being outside.

An eclectic local dining experience. Recommended by a local during our stop in Clarks Fork on the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route. The menu is a surprise and interesting. Family style serving of the soup and salad. The Hot Louisiana sausage, mussels shrimp, and clams in the creamy garlic pasta was delicious!!! Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Reservations suggested.

Amazing. My wife and I have had fine cuisine throughout the northwest and we can say without a doubt that this is the single best dining experience we have ever enjoyed. Great service. Great environment. Incredible food. This is a hidden gem that blew away all of our expectations. It’s a 6 hour drive from my home to this area and I would make that drive just to go to this restaurant again. I should also note that in my is opinion, this restaurant is best enjoyed as adults who have the time to thoroughly partake in what is presented. My highest regards – well done!

This is a cute little place with creative and mostly delicious food and fun drinks, in a small town. I’ve been her four times and the first three were great experiences- albeit service is a bit slow, because of the small kitchen and light staff, but if you’re not starving, in the summer- the live music in the garden, soup and salad, and yummy cocktails pass the time.
The soup
The last time I was there, I ordered the lamb, that I’ve had before (it was perfect and delicious the first time). The second time I ordered it, it was super rare in the middle, and well done on the ends- a very different experience from my original dining experience.

When I brought this to the servers attention, she took my plate and asked if there was anything else she could prepare. Then, the chef came out and proceeded to tell me that I did not know about food, how it was supposed to taste, and I shouldn’t have ordered the lamb! Whoa! To add insult to injury, she charged us for the undercooked lamb dish, anyway. The chef owner was pretty rude, and I will likely not go back, for that reason alone. It’s worth a stop if your not super hungry- since you’ll likely have to wait a bit to be served- but it is a small town experience, and all the patrons tend to be very kind people.

The soup was really great tonight! This place is a home cooked meal with a fancy flare so be prepared to wait for both food and service but the ambiance is really nice and the people are wonderful! They’ll even make special meals or accomodations by request. Make a reservation if you’re going on a typically busy day or weekend.

We showed up after The Squeeze Inn’s funky storefront caught our eye from the road. We were on a 2-week road trip and were famished on this particular Friday afternoon. We were greeted by the chef on the back patio who kindly showed us the menu and immediately poured us two waters and said she’d take care of us. We needed wifi to plan the next couple days of our trip, and she assured us we could connect.

The menu was impressive and exciting. We started with a couple of beers and an order of mussels. They were big, and in the most delicious broth ever! We kept the broth to eat with the rest of our meal. Our server, Nancy, was also incredibly kind and helpful. We ordered a pizza that comes on homemade sourdough crust, and the chef was kind enough to ask my guy how thin/thick he wanted his crust. I ordered the green curry with shrimp, and the flavor and ingredients tasted so fresh and delicious on the first bite. My meal also came with a soup and salad, which were both simply amazing and perfect sizes.

As we were finishing our meals, Nancy helped us with some advice and planning for the next couple days of our trip, which landed us on top of Scotchman’s Peak the next morning for mountain goats and incredible views. (We even recommended The Squeeze Inn to hungry hikers passing by on top of the peak!)

Thank you, Squeeze Inn, for the accommodations, recommendations, satisfying meals, and kind service. We will be back when we come through the area again! Thanks, Nancy, too for the great advice for Scotchman’s and camping up the road 🙂
