We arrived on a Monday afternoon with four kids and three adults – the lone employee working called the owner for back up. The owner (Grant, of course) showed up minutes later to personally help with our sudden crowd. The burgers were huge and delicious! He easily accommodated our vegetarian kiddo. Can’t beat the prices either! Fed a family of 6 for less than $60, and there wasn’t a single complaint! 10/10

This is a cute lil place with friendly service and good food. I love the vintage look. You can play a free Pacman game while you’re waiting. We enjoyed our lunch on the patio and played a couple games of darts. They also have chess and checker games outside. The mushroom swiss burger and wedge fries . We enjoyed Grant’s Place so we’ll be stopping in again sometime.

Great little place to have lunch. Fresh homemade fries with a hot cooked buger for less than 10 bucks, WOW. Just a amazing place and owners. I will keep supporting this business with their awesome prices and atmosphere. So if you’re looking for a great buger around Marion, IN come and check out this place. Trust me, they will not disappoint you.

“But they have such a great personality”…..that’s usually polite way to end things…..but don’t. Trust me.
I have to give this 5 stars from the heart. Not my wallet or my taste buds. That’s probably a 4ish.
We’ve ate here a few times, and will continue to do so when we are in the area. It’s good enough to recommend to others; in my opinion. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Small menu. Occasionally specials, that actually are “special”. (The meatloaf is a special, and actually pretty good!)
Service wise, you can’t wholeheartedly beat it. The owner does most of the work himself. Usually 100%, from our experiences. That’s tough; if you’ve ever manned a kitchen and the books. Very delightful fellow. Very knowledgeable and intent on making your dining experience enjoyable. Thus I HIGHLY suggest dining inside, the small yet cozy diner. Why???
Lemme tell ya why….sit down and watch; the magic in your mouth, being built in front of you. Then watch the same man serve you, and clean up. That’s hustle. That’s dedicated. That’s LOVE. Man only takes time off to serve his family. From me, that’s called R-E-S-P-E-C-T. sing it!!!
My man jams some good tunes too. Spreading good vibes, in a neighborhood of hurt. That’s LOVE. ❤️.
Well worth the visit. A gem amongst the ruins. Give it a shot, and take in the environment. Perhaps then; folks will understand the struggle, to succeed, when most of the surrounding hasn’t.
Food: This is a bacon cheeseburger. With side of chilli cheese fries.
Pros: fresh, not frozen beef patty. Not a smash burger by any means. I’d say close to 8oz patty. Bun was fresh. Store bought, but not the cheap ones. Probably 75c in the bun alone.
Burger has great flavor. Cooked evenly and well done on flat top. Not overly greasy, but you definitely get that flavor you are after. Grab a napkin. Or 2.
Fries: hand cut right in front of me. Cooked in front of me, and prepared with house made chilli (note later) and grated cheddar. These are great. A bit pricey as a “side”, but shut up and eat em. They good! Fryer oil did NOT screw these up. Oil is definitely clean, and proper temperature.
(McDonald’s makes me ♂️)
So I got 2 baskets on this trip; and other basket similar to the pictured (mine!). Plus 2 cans of “pop”. $37.50.
You be the judge. I’m just gunna keep eating and supporting like minded folks. ✌️

Very good food! Incredible guy working there! So nice! Much smaller than I expected. Had to sit outside and it was very hot. Other than that, it was great!

Great food at an affordable price. I love the new layout with the seating counter that resembles the layout of the original hamburger stand. I’ll definitely be back.

Closed. Tried checking this place out for lunch, it’s closed. Old sign in the window states closed for “private event.” This place used to have music jamming that you could hear from three blocks away. Outdoor patio might have had a nice vibe four years ago, it’s worn down and the carpet is all torn up. Really unfortunate, wanted to give the place a chance. The photos look like it once sold appealing dimer food. Many bottles of hot sauce can be seen through the front window. Must have closed in a hurry. It’s small building but a great location in a downtown that has turned a corner. Hopefully someone else can take over and make it a success.

Me and my husband stopped at this place after playing in the snow and were instantly welcomed. We recently moved up here to Marion from Tennessee. The owner is a wonderful man and works the restaurant alone. The food is great and the hospitality is even better (which is awesome because the food is some of the best I’ve had). It’s hard to miss, but if you do happen to come across I’d still go. I cannot say enough how awesome this experience was for us.
