The best Thai food we’ve had in years!

We visited Pick Thai on a busy weekend and waited about 40 minutes for a table—but it was well worth it. As a party looking for vegan and vegetarian options, we were blown away. We ordered the Tom Kha Soup, Chive Dumplings, Scallion Pancakes, Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), and Pineapple Fried Rice. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and authentic.
The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to help us navigate the menu for our dietary needs and spice preferences. The space is cozy with a great atmosphere (don’t miss the beautiful Pick Thai painting by a local artist!). We even got to meet the chef to thank them personally. If you’re in the Burlington area and want incredible Thai food with plenty of vegan options, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

This brand new Thai restaurant in Essex Junction is worth a look. I dined here with a friend for lunch. The Massaman Curry was very good. The Pad Si Ew noodles were to die for. They are the best Pad Si Ew I have ever had – soft and flavorful with fresh broccoli and large shrimp. The menu features so many authentic Thai dishes. Be sure to ask the wait staff for descriptions and help choosing. There’s so much more than the basic offerings. The ambiance is like a cute cafe with a lively mural on the wall. It’s clean. The service is extremely efficient and our meals came out piping hot. Parking out side is easy and plentiful. Not sure about wheelchair accessibility. Prices were a bit high, but definitely worth a try. I will be going back.

I decided to try Pick Thai after reading another reviewer mention that his Thai wife found it authentic. I’m happy to report that my Thai wife completely agreed! Finding a spot that hits the right notes for someone who knows the cuisine intimately is rare, but this place nailed it.
On our first visit, we had the Thai sausage, Tom Yum soup, Pad See Ew, and the boat noodles. Everything was so flavorful and high-quality that my wife actually asked to come back the very next day just for the boat noodles again.
During our second visit, we tried the wings and the Mango Curry. I’d never seen a mango curry before, but it was amazing.
Beyond the food, the service is top-notch. The sole server was incredible—friendly, attentive, and managing the front perfectly even as it got busy. The interior is a bit small, and honestly, with food this good, I suspect they’ll outgrow the space soon. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

In Burlington I Pick Thai, it’s only 13 minutes to get there. Got there Thursday before 18:00 and only a table for 4 was occupied! The small restaurant have 6 tables for 2 and 3 that sit 4. The dining room was not busy but it was non stop for take out! This restaurant is a favorite around here. The young Asian server is timid but very friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming, the walls are well decorated, the bathrooms are clean and you will enjoy your time there. The fried rice is well presented, the Tom Kha chicken is 16 once of tasty coconut soup, filled with chicken and veggies. The spring rolls were deep fried! I don’t like deep fried food but my partner loves them (mostly cabbage inside) served with a very sweet and sour sauce. The Broccoli Delight was perfect for a vegetarian. Not too spicy, not too cooked, just fresh veggies in a subtle tasty broth. I will Pick Thai again

My wife and I were craving Thai food and decided to try Pick Thai Vermont, a spot we hadn’t been to before. We ordered pickup so we could enjoy dinner at home while watching the NFL playoff games, and honestly, it turned out to be the perfect choice.

We started with the Edamame, which was simply done but really well, perfectly steamed and lightly salted, just the way it should be. We also ordered the Fresh Rolls and added avocado, asking for peanut sauce. They were fresh, crisp, and packed with veggies, and the peanut sauce brought everything together beautifully. A great way to start the meal.

For my entrée, I went with the Cashew Nut dish from the Thai Sautéed Sauce section. I chose crispy chicken, jasmine rice, added extra chicken, and asked for medium spice. The flavors were spot on. The sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming, the vegetables were fresh, and the roasted cashews added great texture. Even with takeout, the crispy chicken held up really well.
My wife ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, also medium spicy. It was everything you want in a Pad Thai, perfectly cooked noodles, a great balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, and very satisfying. The tofu was cooked nicely and soaked up the sauce really well.

The service was smooth and easy from start to finish. Ordering online was simple, the food was ready on time, and everything was packaged neatly for pickup.
Even though we didn’t dine in, the restaurant itself felt clean, welcoming, and cozy when I walked in. It gave off a relaxed, inviting vibe that made me want to come back and eat there next time.

We were really impressed with Pick Thai Vermont. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the experience was great all around. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re craving Thai food. ️

My favorite was the Duck Curry , Moo yang, Larb Salad and the husband ‘s favorite was Crispy Chicken Prik- King.

It’s a hidden gem of Essex Junction which already has a pretty good food scene.
